Pathetic service from a once good company

We had many hours of outage on both our website and mailserver over the month of November 2011 and each time we logged it we were told it was a server problem. Verio's so called uptime guarantee provides for a fairly nominal credit if they do not meet their uptime guarantees. When a claim was made they replied saying "The physical machine did not experience any interruption. Unfortunately, the downtime that was experienced would not be covered under the SLA". Strange.... as every time we logged a problem we were told it was a problem with the server. Down again today with a total downtime so far for December 2011 of over ten hours. Want to speak to a supervisor? They suggest calling back after 9am EST!..... So are there no supervisors on duty? We have been with Verio since 1997 (or Tabnet as it was back then) and it is certainly time now to give up and move. Sadly the service has dropped to be at the very, very, very poor end of the scale. If you are looking for a hosting service don't start with Verio.

Very bad experience with Verio

Email stopped working. People trying to email me said it was bouncing...so, I called Verio and logged and problem. No response. I then went online and posted the problem. I got an automated email response. Then I went to the online chat and got no help. I went back to the phones (this is all going on over a two week period) and called again this time demanding a supervisor. He told me there's nothing he could do, it was int he hands of the system administrators which he can't' talk to or send email messages to. I ask him what I was supposed to do when my business depended on people sending me emails - lots of damage already with over two weeks of bouncing emails - and his answer was to open a new account with Verio. Amazing. I have no idea how to get to a human being there who can solve the problem. I'm going to fire them...but I can tell you, they won't care. Really bad company with the worse service I've ever experienced.

No Server , No service, No customer report, No one...

Our host located in Verio is not response all day. We PING all times and receive nothing.

All time we send a support ticket, no one answer.

I waiting all day to recover our data, and work with our company email.

All people here are stressed and a lot of money we lost.

Is someone have some information about this server, and what is happening i´ll be very glad.

Time for a switch

Tech support has been outsourced to the cheapest and poorest of Indian call centers. Response time is poor. Cant reach anyone by phone for three weeks now. It is dead, poke it with a stick.

I have been with Verio since 2000 and I had an AWESOME experience until the last 12 months. I cant defend them anymore.

Now if I could just get someone on the line to access my account so I can get my sites back up temp and change my domain names to another service and start over.

I have been on hold for over 2 hours so far today.

Our Verio webhost has been for 5 days and the clueless tech support just keep repeating that they have no idea when it will be back up. The first 3 times that I called, the tech support which is based in India did not even give me a case number. It was on the fourth try via email that I received an automated but useless case id. This company has been going downhill ever since they sold to NTT and have been paring back staff and servers.

Why would anyone use Verio?

Now looking for a new hosting company with US based technical support. As a customer since 1997, we stuck through some difficult Verio problems in the past. Now their tech support in the Philippines is unable to resolve ANY issues directly. Should have left years ago!

If you like problems and their associated stress, you will love Verio.

We are designing high-end websites for significant companies and we had selected carefully VERIO for our hosting needs. We have been with VERIO some 5 years now. Back at that time VERIO was great. All problems were resolved quick and easy. Now... A TOTAL DIFFERENT CASE. Currently we have a problem with a major client (that VERIO created) and we are trying to fix it as smoothly as possible. After lots of calls and tickets I just found out that their customer support is now in Philippines!!! Their staff there has NO (but NONE) knowledge of anything related to hosting and servers!!!! Their English is just basic and communication is very, very limited. I am VERY angry with them because after 20 years, we are getting embarrassed to our client because of VERIO and their lack of any professionalism. And the problem still exists... PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! Such companies should be banned and close!!!!! Honestly, STAY AWAY!!!!

Tech Support Went WAY DOWNHILL FAST

I have been a customer of Verio for over 10 years, with various companies both my own and employers. I used to rant about the quality of their service, uptime, and especially tech support, but it's changed dramatically. They used to have extremely knowledgeable tech support staff that usually taught me a thing or two. For the last several months I get tech support people who haven't a clue and who's foreign accents are so thick I have to ask them to repeat themselves three times just to get a sentence clear. They don't even come close to speaking fluent English, and now complete case reports and Case ID numbers just disappear. I call back after talking with three different people and there's absolutely no record of previous communications some of which include serious hacking breaches from Russia and China. No trace whatsoever of anything that was said, reports, communications. Verio used to make me and my employers look good to our clients. Now they make us an embarrassment to them. It's a shame. I can no longer recommend them at all, let alone rant about how awesome they are like I did in the past

As they have a facility in the DC area, they could have been affected by Irene. We have been down since Saturday, and we cannot even get someone to let us know what the problem is and when it will be resolved. And we pay for this privilege? I can't leave them soon enough. And a good thing our email is hosted elsewhere. PS - Their site is working, so how about that for priorities. No back up plan for paying customers!

Extremely unreliable and down almost 15% of the time. Hardest part is that I have to check on my website every day to ensure it is still up. VERIO IS HORRIBLE.
