I cancelled my hosting plan at the beginning of the month after their move screwed up two websites. Of course they charged my credit card again after the cancellation. Now I am trying to move all of my domain registrations and have spent at least 3 hours on hold for the past two days with nobody picking up. Customer service is non existant stay far far away from this company.

This company should have a class action taken out on them.
I cant be bothered getting into the details...
They have screwed me over for since july 2008. Prior to the take over by hostopia , I loved them... now there are going down the drain rapidly.

I could not agree with you more, I used to host with uplinkearth.com too and the service was the worst of any business I have ever experienced, not only that they really have no clue as to what they are doing, imagine this, I have a e-commerce site with a shopping cart, I except credit cards in live time through a secure server, when they made the move to the new servers they screwed up the DNS really bad and did not copy all my files over, so to fix this thier 'techs' decided they would change the source code of my shopping cart without even asking me, telling me or even making a backup and to make it even worse it was some of the worst programming I have ever seen and exposed thousands of my customers credit card numbers to the public and my server was still down for a month. I have so many other horror stories with uplinkearth.com
I could go on for pages and pages but i'll sum it up..... if you want your life to be a living hell and your web presence to be destroyed then by all means do business with uplinkearth.com

For four years they ere great. Service/price/options were unbeatable. I moved all of my webs there. But... In the last 10 months they seem to have imploded. Multiple hacks to all webs on all servers. They lock out FTP users at will. Make us reset all of our FTP accounts. And now we have to whitelist our IP addresses. This is impossible for anyone trying to service their own web clients.
Stay away. They are failing miserably.
