Readyhosting, I would have never guessed I would have been better off using a free service. They are a complete joke and that is about the nice thing I can say about them.

There service is non-existent. I can honestly say I never had a problem or question they could answer. It was amazing to learn how bad their service department is.

What takes the cake, after I finally cancelled all my accounts they continued to charge me even though I wasn’t even hosting a domain with them! The told me they where providing me a services and could not credit my account for the time between when I cancelled my account and called back to see why they were still charging my credit card. The lady told me in a smug voice that they had been providing me a services, when I asked what service? Since I didn’t even have a domain on file with them, she told me “well I don’t know that is your problem!”

Also their up time guarantee is a joke as well, my site was down for 5 days straight! It is pretty hard to have 99.9% uptime when your site goes down for days at a time.

If you own stock in this company sell! NOW, consider yourself warned!

Readyhosting was recently bought out by "Endurance International Group," which is an acquisition company (translate: investment group) that has made its commodity to be webhosting. Don't allow that to make you believe that Endurance International is capable of running a datacenter or providing adequate customer support--so far my experience is that they can do neither.

With 50+ websites hosted with ReadyHosting, you would think that they would care that I'm upset. You'd think they would have resolved problems. You'd think that technicians would actually answer support requests instead of leave them unanswered for days or close them without resolution.

But no. They aren't doing anything to make my life any easier. Since the buyout and transition, I've had sites go down, technicians close tickets that aren't resolved, tickets merged or moved within my control panel without telling me.

Buyer beware. As of this writing, they can't figure out how to make the control panel do what it's supposed to--I can't turn on FrontPage extensions, even though the panel has a button to do so. I can't make the statistics update regularly, even though it's supposed to.

Endurance International has not demonstrated any competence in running a Windows hosting platform. ASP sites do not maintain session state, logging clients out regularly and consistently. Technicians continued to tell me the problem would be resolved, even though upper level techs knew that it wouldn't be resolved.

The latest trial is that they appear to be holding fourteen domains hostage, refusing to unlock them for transfer to another host. I put in a request for them to be unlocked over 72 hours ago, and while techs have looked at the ticket, the domains are still locked--even though I'm listed as the admin contact and have provided all of the username/password information as requested.

PowWeb users--beware, you're next to be 'migrated' to this datacenter. Don't let their promises of enhanced service, increased stability, or improved security fool you.

Endurance International Group is not a webhost--they are an investment group. Run far and run fast.

That's my experience and advise. I realize that your mileage may vary. I was with this company for over 5 years...while the old ReadyHosting had its warts and problems, the new ReadyHosting is just plain ugly.

This is by far the worst hosting provider I have ever used.

They used to be decent, but since new ownership they are deplorable.

Their customer service is apparently staffed with idiots who are unable to answer the simplest of questions.
The technical staff can't seem to figure out how to move a website that uses a database to new server,much less figure out the myriad of other problems they have created since taking over.
And their managament apparently does not care if customers are unhappy.(they have instructed their support staff to not give out managers name or direct extensions for people trying to get their website problems resolved..wonder why?)
After over 30 phone calls/emails/on-line support chats our problems have not been solved.

It may be cheap but unless you enjoy giving yourself migraines, find another provider.

I guess I have learned you get what you pay for.
We are finding a new hosting provider ASAP.

Bad hosting, bad tech support, packages are not longer competitive. Used to be one of the best now it's one of the worst.

After being bought out, Readyhosting has become completely inept. Support tickets are initially answered by people with no technical knowledge, then "escalated" to a 2-4 business day turnaround time for a real tech. After several problems, most of which went unresolved, I have no choice but to leave. My recommendation is LOOK ELSWHERE.

Wait times for tech support via phone and chat are extremely long. It's very difficult to get tech support to resolve any issues. Their response is always, "We'll call you when the problem is fixed." I have yet to get a call from them. What's more, my site frequently does down.

These people commit grand larceny every pay day. I have been a user for 4 years and have finallly had it.

Constant email outages - 4 days in November in a row - and now a denial of service attack, all accompanied by emails reassuring me that All Will Be Well Soon.

This is the sort of business that should be out of business. It's a cruel joke that they call it Readyhsoting as it seldom is.

Avoid at all costs.

We have used Readyhosting and 1and1. Readyhosting has frequent downtimes - and their support/trouble resolution is horrible.

1and1 has been good about returning emails and cancelling domain request on time.

So sick of this webhost. I've had 4 accounts with them for 5 years and my email goes up and down like a yo-yo. I've lost all my data so many times, yet this always happened in the midst of my billing cycle so it cost too much to hop to another web host. Finally, I've had enough. They lost all email on all my accounts, and their only response when I called was basically tough sh#t, download your email right away. Well, that's not what I pay them for. I pay them for backups and an uptime guarantee. They won't honor that guarantee and they won't do anything to attempt to restore my email. It's a darn good thing our customer service email is with another host, or we'd be toast. Don't use readyhosting for anything if you want to keep your data on servers, like you pay them to.

I wanted an inexpenisive way to have a number of web mail accounts as well as a place for a small website.

After losing all email in all my email accounts (the second or third time) when they had massive hardware failure, I was told by tech support their webmail server was not made to store mail, that i should have been popping my mail and that i should have learned my lesson by now.
And I have. I am finding a new host as soon as possible. If you want to constantly worry about your data and manage everything on your own and maintain scrupulous backups of everything, they might be worth the low cost. But if you don't wanted to fuss that much, go find someone else.
