My website has been on redayhostings since our starting up in 2002.This fall readyhostings took my site down.I had received no email ( to either my personal or readyhostings mailbox) or regular mail billing, no phone call. After discovering this, I re-signed up , only to find my site no longer somes up on a Google search.Ready Hostings claimed that they emailed me a bill, after asking three timesd to be bumped up the chain of command, I eventually spoke with Rebecca, who confirmed that they had sent 3 bills to a different address than the one they have for me now ( one character in their email address for me was wrong,a missing hyphon).I tested the email address, and got a mail systems delivery failure notice, which they should have received as well . Rather than acknowledging their failure, Rebecca told me that I should check the operator agreement, it was my responsiblity to ensure that they had a valid email address for me. No apology offered, no assistance to get my site better placement on Google, no nothing .My next call wlll be about getting my money back.

Ok service, cheap, but they've been down a few times recently. I'm starting to lose faith in them. I also host with crystaltech which costs a bit more, but you get what you pay for.

The servers are down a lot, and customer service is brutal and when I discontinued service with them, it only got worse!
Bad service, technical support people who could not understand me and whom I could not understand - just plain awful.

I agree with all of you. READYHOSTING SUCKS, SUCKS, AND SUCKS. I’m in the process of transferring all of my client’s domains from my reseller account and can not wait until I’m completely removed from their system. I have spent days on online chats and phone calls in the past year trying to resolve numerous issues with them ranging from technical to billing. If you are thinking of opening a hosting account with ReadyHosting, do yourself a favor and just shoot yourself in the head! I think it would be a lot less painful. Okay I feel a little better now, at least until I start a new chat session in a few minutes with an overseas ReadyHosting unqualified representative.

Back in 2002, this was a great place for basic ASP hosting and a good sandbox to learn ColdFusion. My sites loaded fast, email was reliable, unmetered bandwidth, great price.
Then came the announcement of the upgrade. I thought it would be great to get the free upgrades to ASP.NET and CFMX (as they had been charging extra for those new packages) but then as they began to prepare for the migration, my web portal/forum site running on old ASP and MS-SQL slowed down to the point it became unusable. Support told me it was because of the large amount of overhead it used, which it was a little heavy, but that's no exuse for a page load time to go from 3 to 30+ seconds or even time out. I tried explaining it wasn't the site code, I am a professional web developer, I knew what I was talking about... nope, it was the code and not their servers according to them. It eventually (6 months later) improved but was never back to where it was before.
Then my ColdFusion sites stopped working. 3 times so far I've had to ask them to switch CF back on. And that's just for my existing sites that were grandfathered in with the CF support. CF was dropped from their new One Plan package and any new sites I brought up written in CF I needed to buy the advanced plan for. And I'm not going to get started on how much of a chore it was to get CF sites to work with a simple Access database.
Then they finally added MySQL support... but not for ColdFusion. They suggested I use Access or MS-SQL, one of which is not suitable for the scale of my new project, and the other I don't care to pay extra for.
Even the readyhosting control panel is ridiculously slow most of the time. I click a link or button to get to a section I want to modify, then go do something else for 5 minutes while I wait for the page to come up.
As for their support in general, I'm amazed when I gwet a reply within 24 hours now. I guess they want to encourage people to pay for their new "Web Concierge" service for instant support.
Yeah, I've found another place which offers more for less, seems to be staffed by good people that care about their product and customers, and even have special services for ministries and non-profit organizations for free or discounted hosting, and I am starting to switch my sites over there today and do not plan on looking back.

I loved ReadyHosting when it was previously owned by the team up in Wisconsin... I even liked it when my tech support was Canadians, they were knowleageable and nice and could speak good English. The transition was bad, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and like the other post, I lost some confidence from my clients through that... but I still held out hope. Since the tech support no longer speaks clear English and everytime you ask a question they ask if you can hold for 2-3 mins (while I assume they flip through their "helpdesk" binders to hand out a canned answer...) And after reading these posts... I hate to see a good service grind into the dirt but ... I will be looking elsewhere too.

Readyhosting hosts three sites for me. I've been with them for some time. As they expire, I'll be moving each of them.
Their tech help truly sucks. It seems there is never anyone who can fix a problem, and problems are numerous, especially if using FrontPage.
Over the past 6 months, each of my sites have been down an average of 15 days each. It always takes 3-4 days to get anything resolved.
Don't waste time with ReadyHosting.

I have a half dozen commercial websites hosted there. Their technical support sucks, phone has you on hold at all times of day or night at least 30 minutes, and it always takes at least 2 shots at getting them to resolve an issue. E-mail technical support takes at least half a day. There has been a drastic increase in downtime since late Jan 2008. The only reason I'm still hosted there is the hassle involved in re-hosting elsewhere. Based on the quantity of bad reviews, you think they'd get a clue and fix at least some of what is broken. They were a GREAT hosting company before they were acquired in 2006, the purchasing company has destroyed what was once exceptional quality, customer service and technical support.

i came upon the numerous bad reviews of readyhosting while googling their support number after an interruption of their services...so i'd thought it is my duty to tell truly how awful these people are...
have been with them for 8 years, but about 4 years ago they claimed they were starting system upgrades, but, instead, like other reviewers mentioned, my asp pages stopped generating...at first i found a technician who said the code needed to be updated, and gave me the update...i had to go through all my pages and update the code myself, and no reason why an update of good code that lasted 4 years would be necessary, except for the so called switching over of their servers, which was never ending, and i'm sure the problem...
eventually they got to the point where this kept happening to more and more database and asp generating pages, and their techs started simply saying "you have custom code, we don't offer technical support for custom code"...hey guys, that's what websites are, custom code...and if it's been working on your servers for 4 years, and the code hasn't changed, it sounds like it's your fault when things change while you are switching everyone's websites to different servers
luckily i saved the email from the first tech, which had the new code needed in it, and i went through and changed it all myself, and i'm NOT a code writer...it was a true headache, with no help from these people
i see, upon finding these reviews, i have a large group of company...also, i have nothing against people from other countries, however, readyhosting outsources their customer service to phone banks where the accents are so thick one cannot even understand what's being said...if you want a nightmare, definitely go with these people...if your website means anything at all to you, don't in any way take a chance with readyhosting

When I began in 2001 service was good. About a year ago my database mysteriously stopped working. After 6 tickets and numorous attempts to find out what was wrong it seems that database hosting is no longer a part of the plan. They claim my database was not destroyed, but after asking for a copy 3 times and being told I would be contacted, I have never recieved a reply. They always close the support ticket before it is resolved. I plan to terminate the account ASAP.
