Readyhosting hosts three sites for me. I've been with them for some time. As they expire, I'll be moving each of them.
Their tech help truly sucks. It seems there is never anyone who can fix a problem, and problems are numerous, especially if using FrontPage.
Over the past 6 months, each of my sites have been down an average of 15 days each. It always takes 3-4 days to get anything resolved.
Don't waste time with ReadyHosting.

I have a half dozen commercial websites hosted there. Their technical support sucks, phone has you on hold at all times of day or night at least 30 minutes, and it always takes at least 2 shots at getting them to resolve an issue. E-mail technical support takes at least half a day. There has been a drastic increase in downtime since late Jan 2008. The only reason I'm still hosted there is the hassle involved in re-hosting elsewhere. Based on the quantity of bad reviews, you think they'd get a clue and fix at least some of what is broken. They were a GREAT hosting company before they were acquired in 2006, the purchasing company has destroyed what was once exceptional quality, customer service and technical support.

i came upon the numerous bad reviews of readyhosting while googling their support number after an interruption of their services...so i'd thought it is my duty to tell truly how awful these people are...
have been with them for 8 years, but about 4 years ago they claimed they were starting system upgrades, but, instead, like other reviewers mentioned, my asp pages stopped generating...at first i found a technician who said the code needed to be updated, and gave me the update...i had to go through all my pages and update the code myself, and no reason why an update of good code that lasted 4 years would be necessary, except for the so called switching over of their servers, which was never ending, and i'm sure the problem...
eventually they got to the point where this kept happening to more and more database and asp generating pages, and their techs started simply saying "you have custom code, we don't offer technical support for custom code"...hey guys, that's what websites are, custom code...and if it's been working on your servers for 4 years, and the code hasn't changed, it sounds like it's your fault when things change while you are switching everyone's websites to different servers
luckily i saved the email from the first tech, which had the new code needed in it, and i went through and changed it all myself, and i'm NOT a code writer...it was a true headache, with no help from these people
i see, upon finding these reviews, i have a large group of company...also, i have nothing against people from other countries, however, readyhosting outsources their customer service to phone banks where the accents are so thick one cannot even understand what's being said...if you want a nightmare, definitely go with these people...if your website means anything at all to you, don't in any way take a chance with readyhosting

When I began in 2001 service was good. About a year ago my database mysteriously stopped working. After 6 tickets and numorous attempts to find out what was wrong it seems that database hosting is no longer a part of the plan. They claim my database was not destroyed, but after asking for a copy 3 times and being told I would be contacted, I have never recieved a reply. They always close the support ticket before it is resolved. I plan to terminate the account ASAP.

THE WORST TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN THE BUSINESS, has only gotten worse since they were acquired from a larger hosting firm. Completely incompetent. DO NOT USE!

Re-posted after spellcheck {Sorry, I was so eager to crucify them, I even gave them a good rating by accident)
Years ago I used to host with them. Great service, friendly people, I knew almost everyone working in sales or support on a first name basis.
Fast-forward to today. I have a new website and I naturally thought of them to host it. I called last week EVERY day at least 5 TIMES each day trying to get a hold of someone in Sales. Each time, I was on hold for at least 10 mn before I gave up.
THEY NEVER PICKED UP THE PHONE!!!
I thought may be the 800 number is no good so I sent them emails.
NO ANSWER!
I finally was able to reach someone in support who assured me that it was a misunderstanding. I asked where the call center was located.... INDIA.
How can you help me with my server issue from India???
Do I get to talk directly with the tech if needed???
NO Since WE ANSWER THE PHONE (don’t laugh!!) There is no need for you to talk with the tech. We will do the liaison.
How do you say "go to Hell" in Hindu???

It was a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day... And they didn't make it any easier...
I think I'll move my site to Australia...
I can't imagine worse support. First they kill all the emails that exist on the hosting plan when they changed the MX record. (Something that ONLY they can do... Not changeable from the CP) then they blamed me. They said that they could restore it and that it would soon be back up and working.
24 hours later, the emails are still missing but the address book is back... for the time being.
They then inform me that they can't get the emails back because they already did a restore. "It now more than 24 hour." Says the tech rep on the other side of the phone. His english is broken and he tends to answer my technical questions with things like. "Yes that is true." when I asked how long it would be before I could get the emails back.
I finally asked to speak with his supervisor. (Who mysteriously isn't available) I tell him to take my number so that he can call me when he is off of his phone call. After getting my number wrong, he assures me that I will be called shortly by his supervisor...
I'm still waiting.
I recommend Blue Host to anyone who reads this. Reliable, and when I have a need for support, (Rarely happens), it comes quickly from someone who knows what a DNS record is and who speaks clear English.
I can't see any reason to stick with these people I'm recommending to my clients that they jump ship as quick as possible... BEWARE!

For many years I used ReadyHosting to host numerous websites. A couple of years ago, they started to slide down hill (new owners I understand) and my guess is that they are near bottom.
Two telling comments.
1. I have been trying to cancel with them since October and they are still billing me although the assure me that the account has been canceled.
2. Their pricing is horrendous. For what it costs to host one domain with ReadyHosting, you can host an unlimited number of domains with 1and1,IXWebhosting or many many others.

I have used this host for maybe 8 years? Been a long time whatever the year count. Loved them in the beginning - great features, great price, reasonable service.
Last year, apparently they got bought by another company. A huge move was announced and handled poorly on their part. Services that had been available were discontinued without warning. Email died. Sites went down and stayed down for days. I lost a lot of respect from my customers when I told them that I expected the email server would be up soon - but it wasn't - time and time again.
The final straw was when my personal site was renewed (when I say "renewed", I mean that in "market speak" only) last year. As part of the standard agreement - at least up until last year - they would renew the domain as was part of the original and, heretofore, unquestioned agreement.
What ensued was a complete clusterf*ck where no one could tell me why my domain wasn't renewed as had been the agreement for years, how I could get to the domain records to bring them back up, after I hunted down the registrar, how I could access the DNS records with a password that apparently RH had created and used, or even begin to go about restoring my services either at RH or elsewhere. Long story short, I eventally renewed ANOTHER domain that was listed and maintained by me to at least receive email. BTW, when responding to me via email, they used the old non-existent (according to their records) email address to send me updates - regardless of the carefully worded help desk ticket that I sent them outling the entire problem AND how to contact me.
I currently am moving over all my clients to a more reliable, responsive, and robust host as they expire.
One renewal caught me completely by surprise this past week, which is why I happened to visit their site recently. I received no notification of pending charges to my account as I had/have for the previous several years. Not sure the domain has been renewed. (Will check as soon as I get done tapping this review - I suspect there will be several weeks of frustration trying to straighten out THAT problem if they have not renewed the domain again.
None of my sites are major forces, but the clients scream just the same when their site is down.
I would NEVER, EVER recommend this host to anyone in the near future.
