I bought a Domain from them and they registered it in their name, I have tried to get it back with no luck, they just ignore any emails. . . I should say that I had no problems until about a year ago. . but then it all seemed to go belly up. . my server is currently down and i have sent 2 emails asking for it to be remedied with no reply or help. . .

My advice is to avoid them like the plague, and whatever you do dont register a domain name with them, they will steal it for sure. .

Does anyone know where I need to contact to try and repossess a .co.uk domain from them.?

I have been with these guys since July 2004, but now my site is down, my domain name needs renewing but the have failed to renew our domain name in my name but in Scott Smith the Director of ProWebSpace & HostElite, now they have ignored my multiple requests for support on this matter I have now site up and now no domain name. We now have to change our company name and start all over again.

I was doing fine with this company for 3 years then all of a sudden they just started behaving terrible. Said they were transferring me to a new server with zero down time. I said great. Then all my sites went down and I was informed everyone was suspended until they contacted them with their FUTUREPAY ID, which is something of course that ProWebSpace should know. I'd already gave them that so they unsuspended me.

Then on Dec 22 2006 all my sites went down. I kept emailing support and they would say things like "what was your IP" ?? Um, Hello?? aren't YOU in charge of my account ? Don't you know where you put it ? Over Christmas and New Year no reply at all, sites still down. On Jan 2 they say, oh, the server you were on was moved to a new one.

I ask "where ??" , "IP ??" how ??????
No response.

On Jan 9 2007 they reply with " we asked you
to provide your FUTUREPAY ID a few months ago
but got no response" If YOU have a backup we can put it on a new server ?????

WHAT ?????????

I think that's it for them. I already moved my sites to HostGator but I've lost a bit of data from the databases I once had at ProWebSpace.

After 3 years of ok service, they go down for 3 weeks with no support and lose all my data.
Don't go near these losers.

If they'd had said on Dec 24th.. sorry we lost all your stuff, here's a new account on a new box, I'd have been much happier. Just TELL THE TRUTH for god's sake. I wasted so much time waiting for these idiots to admit their screw ups.

Wow, wish I would have read the reviews here before getting involved with this joke of a company. Do they not understand that they are costing businesses REAL money when they just let domains be taken over, hosting to go unserviced, etc. Stay far far away from this so called outfit.

Contract states they supply domain name and renewals. They failed to renew domain name, have not responded to multiple requests for support on this. We have been down for over a month and are dropping them, have to change our name as we cannot get access to our domain name - HUGE HASSLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

set up by a school boy, servers stuggle to stay up for more than a couple of days, huge down time. no support at all even to cancel an account. Wouldn't go near them ever again. Same goes for their 'sister' company hostelite

They are bunch of cowboys. They have only 6 servers and 2 employees and everything is being run from Scott Smith's house in Wales. I waited for 27 days for my resellers account to be created and after many support tickets and countless emails which they ignored they decided to ignore everything and also deleted my single account without any reason and without notice. It takes them at least 5 days to answer simple questions and when they answer they usually don't know what they are talking about. Also they will delete everything from their support forum which makes them look bad in any way so other people cannot see what is going on. Do i need to mention that they basically stole my money!! Every request for a refund is being ignored. Guys stay away from this host. I would not recommend it to anyone If you know any company where I can report this company and sue them please let me know Cheers Dugi

Too many excuses....

Lost all my sites twice... had to rebuild from scratch, with the damage to my reputation not even acknowledged.

Strangely backups seemed to have failed.. should that be *my* problem? Here there was no sympathy.

Avoid, until they sort themselves out.

Used to be pretty good, but recently there's been a lot of downtime which has been very unsatisfactorily explained. And they'll suspend you from the support forum (the only form of support available) for complaining!

Seemingly incapable of keeping a server working properly for more than a few weeks, PWS lurch from crisis to disaster with monotonous regularity.

Their insistence on using forums as a method of providing what they fondly believe is customer support continues, most customers will have long since given up and gone elsewhere long before they have completed the hoop jumping necessary to access the part of the labyrinthine forum where it's faintly possible they might get some help!

This shambles (I wouldn't dignify it with the title 'company') is a resellers worst nightmare.
If you want to loose most of your clients because the server's down AGAIN, and you can't find out what's wrong because PWS aren't talking to anybody, this is THE provider for you...

And as for explanations! These guys ought to be writing pulp fiction, I have never heard such childish lies in my life: 'men in black' confiscating their server HDs without warrant or receipt is just one of their little fantasy numbers concocted to BS their way out of trouble...

Currently I have serious problems with one of their servers and have been unable to raise a reply for over 50 hours. Which is about par for the course.

Used to be cheap,though no longer; not cheerful, and in this case you DON'T get what you pay for...
