I have been a phpwebhosting.com customer for almost ten years, and in that time I have never had a single problem with them. In fact, 99% of the time I don't think about phpwebhosting.com at all. This is the highest praise I can give to a web hosting company, because if they are doing their job well, there is nothing to think about: Your email comes in, and your web site is available, day after day, without any intervention from you.
When I have needed their help, their technical support staff is about the best I have ever dealt with. They answer within minutes, are courteous and patient (several years ago one of their techs stayed on the phone with me for at least half an hour troubleshooting a PHP script problem) and they are clearly experts. They keep up with the latest software versions, and the service scales beautifully; it's as simple or as complex and powerful as you need it to be.
If there is a caveat, it is that my site is not terribly active at this point, so I cannot speak to how it would perform under extreme traffic levels, but I am confident that I would not have any problems. I give phpwebhosting my highest recommendation.
