Consistently poor service all around. Overloaded servers, broken hosting control panel, incompetent technical staff, problems at every step of the way even when just tasked with registering and renewal of our domains and keeping NS records for our DNS servers.

they continually charge me to auto-renew, even though I had NOT clicked autorenew, and repeatedly emailed them that this was incorrect. this has been going on for months.
no support, just plain robbery . . .

They may have been good ]in the beginning. Now they are terrible. They have got greedy and overloaded their servers. This resulted in problems that brought too many tech calls. They then compounded the issue by outsourcing support to Bulgaria.
It is now safe to say it is impossible to talk to anyone who is in a position to offer anything other than service read off a cheat sheet.
Don't go anywhere near them.

Blog (Wordpress) is down for the third time in less than a month!

My complaint is with their ability to monitor the Wordpress application server and it's availability to clients after some sort of maintenance. In the past month, our blog has been down 3 times and I have to initiate a support incident in order to have it fixed. It's typically down for 10-20 hours. They use Wordpress, as do many others, so it's not rocket science.
They need to improve their post-maintenance inspections as this is not acceptable.

I've set up more than 50 WP sites including 2 on netnation. Netnation has to be one of the most difficult hosting provider to work with. Their support staff has no knowledge of database or php.
Both sites were up for weeks and today out of the blue, this error shows up - Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.
The client called netnation and after 2 hours was told that the php.ini file needs to be updated. Not knowing any better, she contacted me and asked me to do this. You would think that the support staff would know that this problem is on their end?

I used to give this company the highest praise, but they have completely lost me. I am on hold right now for 62 minutes waiting to talk to someone. Last week I couldn't add any new files, today my site is down completely. Live chat support is always down. Support tickets are a waste of time. Stay away from NetNation and Hostway- they now suck bigtime! I am waiting to convert my databases to mySQL and then I am off to BlueHost, who I have been very happy with.

Since company merged about 2 years ago, "Support" does not even answer trouble tickets anymore.
Not the only, but the most outrageous example: For 6 months now Disc Usage details have been completely wrong - to my disadvantage - and mainly just stuck 80 MB above the plan limit.
NO ACTION whatsoever, except for closing my unanswered help-requests. The escalation of it is that now the system started blocking any acces to my website - still NO ACTION, my site is 100% stalled !
Big warning, especially for international customers (time difference when trying to call) !
I am(soon was) with Netnation with other sites since 2001, support HAD been nice years ago, but that's past. Transfer speed and unlimited bandwidth still are nice, but if Netnation produces you a technical problem, that's it, you are LOST. NO answer, NO help, NO nothing.
