My company has an account with justhost for about a year now.
We had a major issue a while back with server downtime and they kept telling me they were trying to resolve the issue. Then after some time without any change, I demanded they move me to a better server or cancel my account. So we got on a better server and things have been working well since.
BUT!!!!!! This Friday, to my horror, I discovered that justhost was running an old backup of my site exactly the way it appeared in May 2011 (as we provide up-to-date news and market intelligence, this is a serious problem.
So I wrote justhost and guess what? They told me to clear my browsers cache. This has nothing to do with the issue at all. So I decided to buy priority support for $20 to get better and faster service. Then they get back to me and tell me that the server I was on had gone bad so they moved my site to a different server. They had used an old backup of my site and put it on a different server without even telling me!!!!!!!!! I'm furious. But it doesn't stop here. I can't access either the online control panel nor can I get FTP access to the server to update my site with the newest data. I wrote justhost and complained about this to their priority support and I got an answer (not 30 minutes as promised but an hour but still ok with me). They just gave me a standard reply saying they had forwarded my mail to the "appropriate" department. And that department is not getting back to me. I wrote priority support and complained and they give me exactly the same standard reply as before saying they have forwarded my request to the "appropriate" department. So I pay extra money for better service and they feed me with standard replies at a time when I desperately need to resolve the problems we have with our site. We have just sold advertising (banners etc.) for our site and desperately need to get the site up and running and then we have this hosting provider not doing anything about it and sending us standard email replies. We are now going to move our site to another hosting provider. This is just completely unacceptable.
Because of my experience, I recommend you stay far far away from justhost.

the worst provider EVER

My site was hacked 3x in 2 mos and then they decided to change my template after I completely overhauled it from the hack. They didn't even have the correct backup to use to restore. Spare yourself the pain and go elsewhere, they were horrible!

On almost a weekly basis, there would be a 1-2 hour period where no one at our company could access our emails and no one on the planet could access our websites. Absolutely garbage! You get what you pay for though...

Justhost more like Just NOT host

Had problems from the start as Justhost for some reason spelt my domain wrong even though I had submitted the correct spelling. They admitted this and said they would not charge me for the mispelt name but only charge for the correct spelt name, but couldn't do anything as my website was now operating under the mispelt domain hosting.
To add insult to injury they have just sent me an invoice stating overdue and I will lose my domains if I dont pay, but here is the bit I don't understand please can someone help. The domains are NOT registered with Justhost they are registered with Fasthosts.
After 3 months of trying to get an answer I finally got an email stating they do not hold these domains and ignore the invoice.
Firstly their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
Secondly I would like to warn people to check your invoices especially if your domains are registered with another company, Justhost have no right to charge you for them.
Just spoke to Bill at the live chat, he stated he couldn't help and billing was open in 4 hours then had the cheek to cut me off by sending me a customer survey to fill in! How they are still in busisness with doing this I never know.

Scam, not a host at all

I were here less than 1 month until I realised that all 'good reviews' are just a lie.
During this time I had my sites down, very slow speed, FTP could not even upload my files. I tried to speak with useless 'Support'.
It was a stupid way to spend my time.
After that 'less than 1 month' I tried to use their 'Money back', but it was a lie, again: their site claims two different things about 'full refund at any time' and 'refund only within 1 month'.
Ok. I desided to move away and tried to download my current sites (~1Gb) for 3 days! I even did not stopped for nights. The speed was awful.
The last thing: there is NO refund. The most noble thing they offer is that they will not charge money (from your card/PayPal) for the next years.
Up to date, there is more than 1 month I have been trying to refund my money for their useless staff. They claim that 'they sent a notification to their refund team'.
I wasted my time, Google rating, money, left 8 opened tickets about their host.

Fraudulent Transactions

Had JustHost for 30 days and cancelled due to incompetent customer service. These guys justdon't respond or fix things.
They are trying to run a totally automated service, BUT there system/code is totally screwed up.
I cancelled within 30 days and got confirmation back. OVER 2 YEARS LATER they accessed paypal and charged me for 2 years of service in a totally unauthorized transaction. I haven't used ANY service from them for 2 years!!!
Don't use these guys. Try godaddy or someone you know has their act bascially together and has customer service to fix problems like this when their 'system' doesn't work.

Occational down time lasts for many hours with no indication of when services will be restored.
Priority Support for $19.95 is a scam. In no way did Just Host comply with its contractual agreement for this service. This service is a non-refunable service, but a complaint to the BBB accomplished a cancellation and full refund.

After reading great reviews, I decided to set up my new website with Just Host in January 2010. I am completely clueless in setting up a site and the support was rude and of no help, so I cancelled my service after 1 day and ALOT of emails and threats to get my money back and switched hosts. In January 2011 I switched hosts again (only due to $$ no complaints with them) and began the slow process of building my site (as I said I am clueless). It was going along great until 1/27/11 when I got a bogus home page. I contacted my current host and was told my domain had expired. Ok, what I don't understand is all the hosts out there claim you are transferring your domain for FREE, don't you all assume your domain follows you to the next company? I got the runaround to contact Enom as they show as my registar, however I had never heard of or dealt with them, so I contacted Just Host. I was able to long back into my account and pay my domain renewal, but I have not heard 1 word back and that was 4 DAYS ago. No communication whatsoever. The hands of my new provider are tied and I am without a website..............RUN!!!

REPORT THESE PEOPLE TO THE BBB!!!!! They have the worst customer service experience on the PLANET! Not only do they NEVER pick up their phones, they don't even have an answering machine for you to leave a message. Their online help= NO HELP! They quadrupled my workload by misleading me about how to add items in the shopping cart. Then when I tried to HELP these people by notifying that the information given was incorrect, (and to prevent it from happening in the future), they immediately became unresponsive. When I told the livehelp no one picks up the phones "PAUL" replied to "call now" so I did and AS SOON AS they knew I was disgruntled they HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! HELLO! WHAT BUSINESS OPERATES THIS WAY? I asked to speak to a supervisor and they REFUSED many times, WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME A DIRECT EMAIL. So I contacted the BBB. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as I did, suddenly the management existed and emailed me telling me they were going to drop me as my hosts (after all of my work) and refund my money. REPORT THESE PEOPLE TO THE BBB!

JUSTHOST.COM Let's see .. First off.. Just read these reviews. About 80% (AND THERE ARE A LOT MORE THAN 42 IN 2009-2010) ARE SERIOUSLY negative and I bet most of the positives are paid by JUSTHOST.COM BECAUSE NO SANE OF HONEST OR PERSON COULD POSSIBLY DO BUSINESS WITH THEM FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AND NOT REALIZE THEY ARE A GIANT SCAM!! Their website says they are located in Glendale, California. When I finally got someone on the phone ..after trying sales, support, billing etc. for more than an hour I got a very rude Richard from England and he claims their offices are located in Phoenix. And he lies to me and lies and lies.
My last really bad experience was with LETSTALK.COM, a totally crooked cell phone purveyor, ..but they were pikers compared to these guys..I should have known after biting on the hook for a $46 ... 6 month deal .. and then I was walked through several pages of extras ..improvements on standard services ..and also a bunch of exotic stuff ..all totaling about $400 bucks … Forget that crap!! but then there were these two items that had no option. Well I figure there will be an opt out somewhere on a subsequent page. My BAD!! I'm on the hook for another $30 bucks...
So yeah … I'm a little late figuring this is a scam. Well, maybe not!! So I call them and NO ONE is home AT ANY EXTENSION and this is the middle of the day? (Well maybe not in England or wherever???) No one answers at all including: sales, support, billing etc. And no messages ..just rings and rings and rings. No nothing!! So much for 24/7 support.
I send about ten emails and finally I get 2 replies: one from Ms. Irish and one from Izzy. All other replies, and maybe Izzy and Ms. Irish??, are computer generated. Yeah..yeah Do I want 3 months for nothing?? Are you kidding?? I just want my $80 bucks back (because they nail your debit or credit card immediately)... because by now I just want to move on. Well, lets see?? Never hear another word from them..
Well, they have this CANCELLATION WEBSITE which offers ONE !! a single option!! and if you click on that you agree for them to keep your payment and they promise not to bill you for the next payment.. If you have gone this far and you are stupid enough to try them above all ..DO NOT agree to this deal even though they offer you everything but their mother and favorite whore to stay with them.
Do you really want to do business with one of the worst companies on the web for next month ..2 months .. 6 months or ??
Trust me!! This really is a SHELL company. Probably just a bank of phones and a couple of servers and a few people to maintain them from offshore or another country where our laws have no reach. I choose my words carefully.. JUSTHOST.COM IS A COMPLETE SCAM AND FRAUD.
I will get my money back. I will simply do a chargeback. My bank is very good about that. So this is not sour grapes. Just trying to be one of the Internet good guys.. Incidentally, it's been over five years since the last time I was scammed but in the long run I screwed them .. legally.. But it’s just a damn hassle.
Finally, there are many review sights that promote JUSTHOST.COM ..
There is something fishy going on here. Either they don't actually check these companies out or there is PAYOLA...
JUSTHOST and their paid promoters need to be put out of business!!!
