I have been with Jumpline for more years than I can remember. Up until this past year, they have been a terrific company to work with and I have felt they were an excellent value.
In the past six months I have discovered that they do not keep 30 day back-ups, I have been unable to login consistently to my customer manager, support tickets are now answered with questions rather than solutions (even for the most basic support requests), and my sites go down consistently.
If I didn't have so many sites to move to another host, I would have been gone a long time ago. It's a shame when such a good company turns turns to such junk.

As I write this, my website is DOWN for the second time in two weeks. This time it's a 502 Gateway error. I have no idea when they'll fix this. Customer support is outsourced to India, where the replies are typically asinine like "Try again later" and "Please click the refresh button on your browser."
Jumpline SUCKS! I am moving my site as soon as I can.

Overprices, poor technical support

Finally threw in the towel and moved the four domains I manage from JumpLine to InMotionHosting, after suffering poor response times and failure to receive email from gmail.com. Technical support were unable to provide a satisfactory response to either issue, despite several week's back and forth discussion.

This company reminds me of how Network Solutions continued to charge $30 to register domain names while everyone else did it for much less. It continues to charge way too much for a service that can be found elsewhere for much less. They have raised my fee three times in three years! I started at $15, was raised to $17, and now they are raising it to 19.99!!!

This company does not value customer service nor listen to their customers voices. I've complained many times since they were purchased even through snail mail to no avail. They don't actually READ your support tickets more like scan them for a general idea and send you a general response. They value closing tickets quickly than actually resolving any problems that may actually be listed there. Shell accounts are the most limited I've ever seen not even allowing chmod or tar.
If you value customer service stay away from this place.

Moved to jumpline around 3 years ago. Recently (as in around 8 months ago) renewed for another year. My year is coming up for renewal shortly. Can't wait to go away.
Customer service is surly (both on the phone and by emails), and extremely unfriendly. Everytime I've asked for fairly minor things, they've either gotten back with cannot be done, but won't be done.
They've recently made a change that broke all my websites. When I complained about it, all I got was "oh yeah, we upgraded this and that -- too bad your stuff broke; I guess you'll just have to fix it". Meanwhile my host is still down.
The one thing I will give them is that they do tend to respond fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they just not of too much help.
Avoid. You can get much cheaper hosting with other providers, so why would you go with jumpline? I'd rather pay less, get more storage and bandwidth and risk putting up with the same (poor) quality of service with someone else rather than pay jumpline so much.

Too expensive, too expensive, too expensive. I was with these guys a few years ago, as they were one of the big guys back in the dotcom era but now they're out of date and overpriced. Again. Too expensive

Terrific reliability, good support. The only thing I don't like is that they do not stay on top of upgrading things like PHP and MySQL.

A support team working round the clock has left my site 100% down for 3 weeks...for the 2nd time...in an 8 week period.
First time it was fixed with no explanation. Do you really need more details than that? I have them.
I bet if I try to register jumplinestinks.com with them, after I finally get this site off of their system, they might get the hint.
