Worst Customer Service Ever - Review

We've had problems with Ipowerweb in the past, but they were usually resolved within 24 hours. Since their switch to the new server and new v-deck, we have not been able to get a response for several days. Our CGI forms no longer function correctly, although they work in test, and it took over 48 hours for a customer service rep to respond to the first query. It's now been another 48 hours and still no response. Our forum pages take several minutes to load on some days and load just fine as soon as I go to file a complaint. We're definitely considering moving all of our domains at this point.

After long waits on the phone and slow email repsonses, I finally got the dreaded word. I cannot import my website into one of their gui editors. I was not told about this when I migrated to the new platform so now I have a website that is difficult for me to edit. I went with iPower 2 years ago based on recommendations of f/f. Site was easy to set up and customer service was great. Then (I understand) company was purchased, platform was upgrade. I will not stay with them when my term expries!

Ipower has been transitioning to a new platform. No problems with the site that they are hosting that is still on the old platform. One of my sites which has converted has been a disaster. The website has been down for several days (even though their technical support says they have brought it back up). The visitor stats section has been unavailable for over a month. No one answers the phone (after being on hold for 90 minutes). When technical support does email back, they are often wrong on can't help.
Not sure if this company will be a going concern with all of their problems.

Customer service is terrible. Expect to wait on hold to chat or call for over an hour and the issue is rarely resolved. I have been waiting 3 months for my account to be transferred to the "new platform". It still hasn't happened and my email does not work. I also have been able to access my reports for 3 months.

I managed our church Website and we experienced email outtages twice, once for over a week, and another for over two weeks. They said they were working on the issue, but they showed that they are not reliable.
Also, I made the mistake of paying for the hosting service myself for the first year. When I cancelled they ended up billing me again one year later. I told them that we cancelled the service over a year ago and I am still calling trying to get them to remove my credit card number and pay me back.

Their service is incredibly bad now. It took me forever to chat with someone - that is the only way I could get through - forget the telephone! They didn't answer e-mails, either. I am moving all of my domains somewhere else, now. I should not have stuck with them so long, but it seemed like too big a chore to move everything. But staying is infinitely worse! When they told me they were going to fix my e-mail problem and they didn't, and now it is impossible to talk to anyone... Don't get me started!!!

When you try to contact customer service
You must wait 1 hour for holding.
When I asked to cancel my acct, they didn't say nothing about written notice with 1 month prior to cancel.
I paid $47.40 on 11/19/07 , I canceled my acct 12/07/07 without written notice(it's rediculous!!), then they took my $47.40 and tried to charged me additional $3.00 to make $50.00 cancelation fee.
Cause I didn't give them a written notice 30 days prior to cancel.
What in the world, who has that written 30 day prior notice for cancelation for web hosting service??
They charged me $50.00 for cancelation fee!!!

Where do I start? I have been with this co for over 5 years. They were (as everyone has said) very good in the early years but over tha last 3 years it has gone downhill hard! They lost one of my clients domains and had to buy it back for $400.00, They lost my site. They couldnt find another one of my clients sites and never did get it going, we had to cancel the credit card and switch to lunarpages.com, I have 25 hours of phone time and chat waiting time only to have an actual conversation with someone for 5 mins and he put me on hold and never came back. Someones kid took this place over I tell Ya!
Take this from someone who knows, I wouldnt use Ipowerweb again if they paid me $9.95 per month to use them, I wouldnt be able to afford it! Go anywhere but here!
