Pricing could be better, server was fine but support was horrible at best. Too long to get responses using the ticket system. Not enough time in the day to have to call and go over everything!

I've contacted Tech Support by telephone twice since we signed-up with InMotion. Both times, my experience was great! In the first instance, the support guy worked with 2nd level support to get a small configuration issue fixed. During that call, he answered a bunch of minor questions and gave helpful advice of getting my sites running quickly. In the second instance, the support guy figured out that my setup was causing Apache to not send image files. He helped me find the right configuration file and had good suggestions on what was wrong and how to fix it.
OVERALL: These are among the best tech support experiences that I have had!

We are a company providing software for video stores and automatic vending machines. We use InMotion servers from years for several services we offer to our customers, including movie data bank, file transfert service, software updates with massive load of bandwidth and datatabase accesses.
Tech guys at InMotion are fast and issues solved in minutes.
We started with shared hosting plans and upgraded to VPS plans.

I was having e-mail connectivity problems.
It is impossible to get e-mail support when you can't send e-mail.
I have had this issue SEVERAL times the past month or so. It does seem to be resolved after a while but it doesn't give me a very good feeling about InMotion Hosting's general reliablility.
I did get a nice e-mail from support after I was able to connect and send a nore.

Great Customer Service

I was a little skeptical about what kind of technical service support I would get since it was late, but 24/7 support was advertised, and I was having problems. Although the chat connected me immediately to a service technician, he took awhile to respond to my questions. I'm not sure if he was playing WoW on another screen, or if he had other customers, but it did take him a minute or two for each simple question. Bottomline: He did answer all my questions and helped me fix my technical problem. He typed correct American English and did not call me miss. He seemed to be located in the U.S. Aside from the seeming lag, my experience was GREAT! If I pay a little more for InMotion, the 24/7 customer service is worth it.
