I chose InMotion as they were the best solution for my business - and they have been. Great uptime and excellent email speed along with a good team to work with.

My company has about 20 emails (that we use all the time) and our site is less than 10 pages. That being said, our package and this server we are on are great - no problems thus far.

Here's my experience. Website uptime is very good. Spam filters and email SPEED is very quick. They have other good tools - such as statistical reporting, forwarders, parked domains and password protected folders (all of which are included for free on the account that I chose)

However, where this company excels is their technical support. They have very good email support, however, their telephone support is phenomenal. Quick to answer, responsive, english speaking and friendly.

I felt compelled to review after reading some other reviews on this site. For $9.95 a month, it's an EXCELLENT value.

Inmotionhosting was good as long as my throughput was low. At that stage, their customer service is very good, and they are very helpful. I run a simple Wordpress site with a few plugins, and a low-volume PhpBB site. I do scifi movie reviews on my site. My site started getting somewhat popular (70,000 page views per month) and all of a sudden Inmotionhosting.net starts sending me notices about server resources being eaten away, and recommends that I go to a Virtual Host account for $49 bucks.

This only got worse as my page views went higher. Finally, when my site was averaging around 400,000 page views per month, I started getting almost daily "Final Termination" notices with immediate "contact us or else". According to them, serving up individual gif and jpg files were tapping up to 30% of total server resources. And yes, I had my cache pluging working correctly.

I finally missed one of the contact us or else messages and they yanked my site offline. I still don't know if this was just their "marketing strategy" or just really bad server set-up administration. I have since left to Dreamhost. Bottom line, in my opinion they are a poor choice if you're looking to run a Wordpress site.

I have hosted with this company for over 4 years now.
My website is just a few pages and several of us use email. I like the email a lot; its always up and I can also check it using Outlook and also web-mail.

We pay about $10 a month for our hosting and for that price I could not be happier.

I am very pleased with the way IMH handled my problems. I've been with them since 2003 and of course, we had some problems once in a while. For example, I hosted a political website and during the election period, I was using too much of the server CPU. After explaining the importance of the website and telling them taht it was only for a small period of time, they found a solution that was acceptable for both parties. It's fun to know that people are willing to bend their rules a little to help you.

Very reliable hosting, no known downtime. Unfortunately, the account has been suspended for 'resource overage'. The say I must go to a $49/month plan to continue usage. Lovely scam upsell.

Apparently 610-byte emoticon gifs use up 10% of their cpu power. A windows executable being served for download by their linux box takes 40%. Needless to say, I'm cancelling all my accounts with this company

I have well in-depth knowledge of web design design, and I had written a PHP program that I had previously hosted with my old hosting company. When moving to InMotion, there were some difficulties getting my program to run but I called technical support and spoke to a charming young lady (Vanessa) who instantly had the problem corrected within five minutes. Not only that, but she also followed up with me by email to make sure everything was running smoothly!!! If this is the type of support I can expect to get with inmotion, I will recommend them to everyone I meet!

Title says it all. I've been hosting my web business with Inmotion for more than 3 years now.

For such a long period I've ran into some troubles, but they have been resolved in a prompt manner by their support reps.

On the positive side this hosting company offers fairly good set of features for your money, at least for our situation where we had all the dynamic servers on our own network and only a the static store front on Inmotion Hosting servers.

The first time we’ve ran into problems with this company is when we requested to ensure that our access to their management console be secured with SSL. Shocking, they left access to their control panel open so that anyone can just come in and make changes to our account. It took their “support” 3.5 months to get a digital certificate installed.

Second time, we had issues with them was after 2 years with them, we decided to leave. As we’ve learned later, Inmotion Hosting has retained our credit card information from last year and without our knowledge or consent, charged us for another year of service. Thus far, our attempts to resolve it with Inmotion Hosting fell in depth ears, we had submitted complained to American Express and disputed their charge.

If you’re looking for a good solid company that would support your business and won’t attempt to fraudulently charge you, this is not the company you’d want.

Inmotion has been nothing but superb. From the day I signed up with this host, I have had nothing but a pleasurable experience. Excellence at its finest. 10 out of 10 stars!
