We have used HostRocket since the late 90's. Back then they were great, in recent years not so much. Service outages, emails lost, bounced and delayed, even malware intrusions (and we guard our password like the family jewels). Submitting a trouble ticket with HR is a little like burning sage - it may give you a good feeling, but you're not sure if it really does anything. Rarely an explanation, and it's never their fault. Cannot recommend, and will be leaving mid-contract.

Generally I say they don't manage their server's security properly, and when they mess something up, it's up to the user to find out and open a ticket. Adequate uptime (>99.5%), but have had the site hacked/defaced twice, RAID crashes where all data lost, native form .cgi pulled without any notification. Looking to move elsewhere. Support is crazy fast though, and usually really good.

HR is growing the other aspects of their business too fast (VOIP). Hosting support had deteriorated tremendously. Downtime has gone up to unreasonable levels.

There are much better hosts out there to go with now. Very disappointing :-(

First of all, i've been a very happy customer for over some years at hostrocket now.

- They are cheap (trust me, i've looked prices over and over)
- They are FAST (trouble ticket answered within 10 minutes)
- They are helpfull (Checking up stats if we think something is wrong)

What more could you possibly want from a webhost? oh right, options!? hahaha just look at their lowest package, the economy package. Its cheaper and bigger then most companies' enterprise account. I think i've said enough. One of the few companies i want to see make it big.

Very reliable host, but then again our website is fairly simple so we haven't had much experiences with their support team. HOWEVER, there have been quite a few instances of where everyone on my shared server, including me, was hacked - our index page was replaced with some nonsensical hacker statement. It wasn't a problem for us because we keep a backup of our site, but I imagine it may have been for others. But yeah, otherwise - almost zero downtime for us.

I was customer during 6 months untill my site become get many more visitors. They promise you ROLLOVER Bandwidth but it is not true. If your site gets about 50 Gb, they suspended your site without any pre-caution message and then ask to update account. Support medium, you can submit a ticket for emergency review your problem for $3 during 10 minutes or free support, but my ticket was 48 hrs unanswered and credit card was charged for $3. After suspention email work correct but control panel isn't accessable. Too bad support - an answer for a question per day.
