Imagine your domain working. then imagine one day they decide to upgrade all their servers at once. Imagine they send you an email from a bogus address and expect you to do what it says. Imagine your domain vanishing. Then imagine it being replaced with a "warning" page. Then imagine it being replaced with a directory listing.Tthen imagine it being replaced with someone else's directory listing.

Imagine thinking you're in the twilight zone.

Try to imagine getting someone in your country to help you. And try to imagine finding someone who speaks english. Try to imagine your webmail doesn't work.Tthen try to imagine your imap doesn't work. then imagine it works, then doesn't, then does.

Then imagine when your email finally works, it thinks you're a new user. Then imagine it says that your cookies aren't valid.

Imagine thinking that you've been seriously screwed and you're looking for a new hosting service.

Then imagine yourself going with a different company.

I've been with hostony for 3 or 4 years, and i couldn't ever get satisfactory tech support. My imap was agonizingly slow, and they couldn't offer any explanations or suggestions. so i slogged through. but now, nothing works w.r.t. my account. So i'm looking for a different company.

I try to cancel, 2 hours after subscribing !
WHY ?
The mails they sent me are full of mistakes, the links to the WEBMIN CP is wrong, I could connect only once.
Connection seems slow... even for a VPS CP access !!! I think the adress they have in the UK is a fake, I had one of them by the phone for account confirmation, I couldn't understant a word from him... don't know where the call comes from !
Seems like amateurs (just a feeling). The front-page is nice, but like a % of the web buisness, I guess it's trashy behind !!!
Don't take a chance, save your money. I lost almost 40$CAD (unless they give it back)

Hostony or z555.com(yes the same) I suppose Hostony got so bad they got another domain and still have bad business. I wish I had done more research about this hosting. They do not have good service you do not get your info until over a week later.......by then you cancel and they do not refund your money. They do not cancel you and start your hosting when it is too late 2 days after you cancel. But they are sure fast for getting money...I just got an invoice for the next moneth when I have CANCELLED! If they take out my money I will be furious!!! I cancelled. Those good service ratings at the top were probbably done by them!!!
DO NOT TRY THEM! They don't even deserve a 1.

I've had an account with Hostony for almost a year now, and I have found them to be reliable and helpful. The customer support will go above and beyond to help solve my problems, even if (as sometimes happens) they are of my own creation. The response time is excellent too. My site has experienced almost zero downtime. The prices are really unbelievable too. A lot of the other hosting companies I looked at wanted to charge me two or three times as much for the services I get from Hostony. I higtly recommend them!

When I had problems with my free host I decided it was finally time to move over to a paid host. I looked around, and still agree that hostony is the best value for money site out there. Also the control panel is very easy to use.

I wasn't sure how to use the FTP, but hostony has a forum where staff members will help you through your problem. I've asked for help a couple of times and they've always been very nice, and helped me solve my problem.

I am currently in a meeting trying to present an online courseware running on a clients website...pixelphish.com. I have contacted Hostony in the past 2 weeks plenty of times to resolve timeout issues, no connections to database and websites completly failing to resolve. There has been no effort to move users which I share space with who are bandwidth hogs. Hostony has admitted to users on my server crashing the computer...in fact the tech support guy that told me this no longer even works for Hostony! In any case turn elsewhere for your hosting needs! matrixreseller.com...srlhosting.com...great ones!

It sure sucks. No email was sent telling me my login id and password, so once you forget them (and you will) you cant log back in. There's hardly any way to contact them. What a shame and crime for these webhosts-comparing websites who put hostony and other stinky webhosts at top just because they pay commission.
