Downtime and tech support

I've been with HostMDS since they took over VistaPages. Service has always been a bit average and tech support a bit hit and miss, but I stayed because it was cheap.
Recently however, my sites have been going down with greater frequency, and as I write this, my sites have been down for 55 hours and counting. Initially the only response I got from tech support was "we apologise for the inconvenience..." but now they have stopped communicating all together, and I have yet to be given an explanation for the downtime or any indication of when I might expect them back up.
I've finally had enough of this company and am in the process of transferring my domains to another host. If you value any kind of reliability or useful tech support, I recommend staying away from HostMDS.
