the email server is horrible. You lost your emails for no reason and you never know when it happened. in the last two weeks, it happened so many times.
The customer service is horrible. each Rep seems to handle 20 people on line at the same time. It is simply a waste of time

I am now looking into finding a new host. I hate moving hosts, but in the end I have to. Despite repeated requests to solve my problems nothing has been done.

Slow, slow, slow, overselling, technical support, not Engish and I know far more than they do. End up in hours long chat to get a simple problem fixed as they dont understand what I need.

I find that I have only just started to host with this company and they seem to have been there for every query that i asked for so far...

I am just waiting for my site to migrate to tem then i will update my review.

Host Department has been hosting 2 of my websites for over 4 years now, and I am very impressed with the uptime. I recommend Host Department to anyone, no matter what your budget is, there is a plan for everyone and every website.

I have been browsing reviews, and it's funny. Most of the positive reviews of Host Department are IDENTICAL. Meaning only one thing - this place has people out there counter-acting negative reviews. People, stay away from this place. There are too many good inexpensive hosts that are way better. Host Department is SLOW, tech support is lacking, and they can't communicate effectively because they barely know english. We lost 8 web sites in 3 days (just disappeared!) and they blamed it on us. Further, they have no file backup as advertised, so they really screwed us. We are looking into suing for fraud currently, because they cost us clients and money with this.

I have owned two single domain accounts with two different places and never have i been treated with the utmost respect, or been handed so many resources on a golden platter than hostdepartment.com . My experience here has been absolutely superb. Everyday has been so exciting for me - and i don't even have my service sight finished, but every time i start working on it, i smile the biggest smile knowing i am going to soon be making sales to customers and starting my own online empire.

I was on this service for a little over a month and had nothing but problems. They state lightning fast speeds forget it I was getting time out errors and refused conntection most of the day every day since I signed up with them. They state 100% uptime I had about 10%. They have 24/7 live chat but after reading reviews they said the same thing to about 20 other users in the same exact words from months ago. They have REAL bad service. BEWARE!!!!!

I have placed 3 domains with Host department so far and have had no problems. Response to tickets is fast and honest. I now plan to move 6 more domains there, since the first 3 were a "test."

I'm hosted through HD until August 2006 so feel free to swing by my website and track how slow it is (if it's working at all) at http://3-bSoftware.com . The price is all right, but not for the problems you go through. I've been searching and there are many hosts with the same and better price so that's not an issue. I get sick thinking about how bad they are. My advice is go to google.com, type "hostdepartment.com" and then sit back and read the thousands of bad reviews. If that doesn't make you change your mind then vist the bbb because they're there too.
