APLUS.NET Kings of Crap - Puts All the Rest Down for the Count!
I simply registered a domain using their domain plus service because of the free URL and e-mail forwarding (Big mistake). After I registered I waited for my registration confirmation e-mail and yes I did receive it 1 hour later. After that I went in and tried to figure out how to setup my URL forwarding and their website was so poorly laid out it took me about 30 minutes to find the form. I filled it in and it said it would take up to 3 hours to process so I waited a day just to be safe. Well a day later,nothing. 2 days later, nothing. Then I decided to e-mail them, no repsonse after a week. I e-mailed them again, no response after a week. This continued for another 13 e-mails with no repsonse. Suddenly one day I get a reply from them, BUT it was to inform me that I couldn't take advantage of the free URL or E-mail forwarding because I did not register for it within 20 minutes of registering the domain! At that point I said forget it, I had already wasted $20 and decided to accept my losses and move on. I found a totally free URL and E-mail forwarding service called MyDomain.com and I reccomend them to everyone now, no banners or ads. YOu know whats really sad after all this? MyDomain.com, the company that wasn't making any money from me responded to my e-mails within 2 hours and were more helpful than the horrible support of Aplus.net. Avoid! Beware!

Just a couple days ago my site was down for 10+ hours. Today it is down again. I have submitted a ticket and have no confirmation from Host department by email yet. For this moment my site is down for 3 hours and I have no idea when it will be recovered.

I am customer since 2007, company was good for 1st year but then when i added 40 domains it started giving me troubles of all kinds, my all webs goes down for atleast 20 to 25imes daily, no response from customer care and moreover they have now expired my primary domain which they offered me for FREE for LIFE!! i have lost my several clients and trying to move my all clients to better hosting atleast better then HD it really sucks NO MONEY BACK NO RESPONSE NO SERVICE!
LAST WORDS... ALL REVIEWS CANT BE WRONG! IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO HOST WITH THIS SITE GOOGLE FOR HOST DEPARTMENT SUCKS OR HOST DEPARTMENT REVIEWS AND YOU WILL KNOW WHY PEOPLE HATES IT!

I currently have 5 domains parked at host department. Not hosted, I left that a long time ago, but my domains were locked and I could't move them. Now their control panel has been down for a long time. They took my money for renewal and never actually renewed my domain and I lost it. I can't move the remaining domains because they are locked and I can't reach anyone to unlock them. This isn't just bad hosting and server down time, this is a complete loss of my domains. Stay far far away, don't trust them with anything if you value it.

The last few weeks they have been attacked and they are crashing. They don't answer the phone, don't reply to service tickets, and don't do live chat. Their service is variable and unreliable. I'm looking for another host.

I have been down two times in the past 2 months which initially appeared to be a defacement. I have customers that I resell this service to, and they are regular customers of mine. The first time, I was able to get in and fix my website. This time, however, FTP is down and there is no end in sight. I have been down for at least a week now, and nobody from Hostdepartment.com seems to want to keep my business any longer.
If you host with this company, or are planning on hosting with this company, do not be fooled by their great pricing unless you do not care to rely on them. I have never seen such shoddy customer service and downtime in a host. The defacements are embarrassing enough, but how do you explain this to your customers, over and over again?
FIND ANOTHER COMPANY, THESE PEOPLE ARE A FRAUD
