In spite of my high-traffic website(going in several thousand Gigs a month), I've never heard from any of my fans of any downtime.
cPanel is just great - I get to know the analytics and traffic info at the click of a button.
Although not fully informed, choosing Hostmonster for webhosting was a top notch decision on my part! Sheer good luck. Period.

I run several quite similar websites on several hosts.
Hostmonster was my first host I used and I am overall pretty happy with them. Most of my pages are simple, as of that I did not have any bigger issues with HM.
I like AW-Stats what is not standard at bluehost (I host 3 sites with them also) so I keep myself returning to HM.
The live-support was most of the time very satisfying, I had only once a bigger issue with transferring a domain from a german registrar to HM what appeared to be a language problem and I needed to sit in the "middle" to translate, what was pretty annoying.
some of the bonus features sound good, but when using them (e.g. WP-installation)there are rarely the latest versions availble.
All in all I recommend HM as a reliably valuable host for smaller and medium sized projects.

I have been very pleased with the support even when it is not their fault. Never got an angry support rep.
As a IT Tech I have dealt with several other providers (like PAIR) and there is no doubt to me that Hostmonster is much ahead of any.
My clients are very pleased after I switched some to Hostmonster servers and others creating new services. I must say that I have been selling their service and the Affiliate program has been honored by them without any flaw.
I'll not leave this company!

I wouldnât recommend them. I had multiple accounts with them for about 5 years. I bought a new domain, that was advertised with âfree whois privacyâ although at the checkout they charged me for it.
I politely emailed them asked if they could refund me, their answer â no, as the promotion ended several days earlier. I didnât see this stated anywhere on the page and I told them that this page was still visible to me. They were adamant they problem had to do with me not clearing my cookies (very patronising) . I cleared the cookies and sent them a screenshot as proof. It turned out the page was still visible through the internal control panel link, I told them this and again repeated me request for a refund, they said no and thanked me for bringing the link to their attention but the promotion ended. I was dumbfounded, they admitted their mistake, but still didnât deliver what was advertised
I closed most of accounts and I am in the process of transferring all my clients
accounts that are hosted through me. The sad thing is, the issue would have been resolved for a $5 refunded, but because they failed to do so, they lost alot of business from me. I am a web designer and create about 5-7 sites a month, thatâs 84 accounts a year lost all for a measly $5. It wasnât the money, but the way they refused to do the right thing.

Ok value if you need little control over your sites

if you are only hosting some photos for your friends and family to see, you are fine. Go with host monster. If you need more control, or if you are working with a team of people who need various level of permissions to access your sites, HostMonster might not be your best choice. Customer service is poor also. Sales department is quick as they want you get you to buy but once you are in, good luck getting any quick help from tech support. The live chat support usually handles several customers all at once and it takes an hour just to get a couple of simple questions answered. Now they are charging an extra 4.95 for private domain registration. It used to be free... one of the reasons I choose to used them. But I am taking my business elsewhere soon.

I've been with Hostmonster for the last several months and had no particular issues so far. I have several of my domain names hosted there. Only one of them has an active website, though.
The pricing is OK for me, uptime and performance are good.
