I got a call from gisol saying that they were installing new servers to improve performance- but that i would have to sign a 3 year contract at a 50% higher monthly fee to avoid " service" charges for the move. Also, without the 3 year contract they were going to charge $60/month for what i was paying $8/month. And they gave me 1 hour to decide, saying that they sent me a notification email 2 months ago- which the agent couldn't produce, and that i couldn't find. After the 1 hour our website was to be wiped out because of the move.

For more than 2 weeks I have got a Technical issue that They deny all the time. My websites use session variable and these expires after a few seconds. They answered their servers are ok and that issue is on my end...!!! I explained them by all means that it was tested in diferent cities and computers so, I was sure it was not here. also I told them That the could use a proxy to emulate another location. they say the have support 7x24 but I am sure they do not reply emails on weekends. I had so many complains so I tried to contact the custom service but what a surprise..!!! It was the same give who gave me tech support...!!! They are the worst. I have to move my websites to a new hosting provider but I registed a few domains in their server. They neither fix thir srvers not let me take what I paid for.

GISOL suspended my account after 7 months. I had payed for 12 months. They refused to open it again and I have got no payback.

We signed up with GISOL - BIG Mistake. Like others, their promise says one thing but when they called to confirm, the sales rep said that we had to buy a bigger plan. We kept running into technical problems, but since all their tech are "level 1", no one was ever competent to answer a tech question. I was promised things would be corrected after their upgrade - an upgrade that never happened. Finally, I canceled membership... that's when things became really fun... I had to pay for my domain name, only to then be told that they wouldn't release it... I have begun working with an attorney as this violates Intellectual Property Laws as well as GISOL's Service Contract... If any of you have similar issues, I ask you to join my complaint... It too expensive for any one party to fight alone... Then, they have simply failed to refund my residual funds with their claim that it'll be refunded 14 days AFTER THEY AGREE TO PAY THE REFUND... which appears to be never. If you are looking for a hosting company, take heed... run somewhere else.

I just sent a request to GISOL to transfer the url of teddybeargourmet.net. I received a rude phone call from an "Adam" who told me that I could not transfer the name because they own it. If I wanted to pay $500.00 they would give me ownership. This was not part of the agreement when I signed up, but according to GISOL, they were just purchased and this is their new policy. They are looking for money every way they can and they will hold your account hostage so that they can get as much money as they can. They are not a good hosting service and you should run, not walk, as far away from them as you can.

you order one year plan, but then they will call you, they will threaten you in confusing sentences, forcing you to buy bi-annual plan.

They bill my credit card for bi-annual plan without my authorization.

The service is very bad. Live chat person always says "this issue is handled by another department, please send an email to sales@gisol ". You send the email, you file the ticket, but no one answer you.

I had no problem with them until now. But once, there is a problem... it's a big one. I was paid up for my web hosting until March 2007. I was trying to log on to ftp server. It said logon failure. I tried web console login. It said user name/password was wrong. I called Tech support. The guy there said my account was deactivated. I asked why? He said he only knows that it was deactivated. I asked him to put someone who knows why. He put me on hold for about 10 min. then hung up on me.
Then I called the billing department this time. Another guy (Mark) answered. I asked him why my account was deactivated. He put me on hold for a couple of min., then told me my account was deleted Dec. 19, 2006 and I have to set up a new account. (Gasp, I haven't backed-up since my HD was replaced in November.) I asked why was my account deleted without any notification to me when there are over 3 months left until I have to renew? He put me on hold again. And then he asked the last 4 digits of credit card that was used to pay the fee. I told him I paid by a check. Then he told me I should email admin@ to resolve this matter and he can't do anything for me anymore. I just sent an email to admin@. I doubt I will receive any kind of response that I would like to here.

The lesson is that you want to avoid a company like gisol.com when something like this happens. And I doubt any reputable company would have anything like this happen.

Sonny: The server that your account is housed on (server1090) has had one of its drives fail on the raid. The raid is currently rebuilding and should be back up and running just as soon as it builds fully. We have turned services on the server off in the mean time so that another drive would not be lost during the rebuild. We have dispatched a team of system administrators to the server farm where the server is located and they are working around the clock to restore services as soon as possible. We have not been provided an ETA as the server has massive hard drives with lots of data. We will be updating our customers as soon as we get more information. We sincerely apologies for the inconvenience and are working on a better technique so that this does not happen again.

Henk: so why does nobody tell me this and do I have to go throughthis procedure?
Henk: it also seems that you are not fully redundant

Service was poor and the servers were super slow. I unfortunately locked in for a year so I waited it out. Finally my year was up and I went to switch to a reputable host. That's when I found out that they hijacked my domain.

When I signed up they offered free domain registration with a 1-yr plan. Well they registered the domain in their name and locked it. Then they renewed it so I couldn't get it upon expiration. I sent an email to them to get the domain unlocked. They responded that I was leasing the domain, they owned it, and they would provide me a quote if I wanted to purchase it from them!!!

Run don't walk from this host! Nothing good about them at all.

Gisol, technical staff has answered positively to all my remarks, and they have installed to my server all PERL modules, which I have been requested, within 24 h.

True, they have had some minor technical problems with their CONTROL panel, but it is performing just fine now.

If you are using the perl scripts which do require strange modules, GISOL is providing fine technical support, which other hosting providers do not offer.
