This company is one of the worst company i have ever seen. I experienced two time HDD failure and my business traffic and everything was ruined. they are having a shit support team who will never reply you on time.

They will suck your money.
Never get attracted with the slow less price of this company this company is totally crap. Believe me or you will destroy your business and existing reputation of your website.

Now i am with Hostgator. which really rocks.

The price attracted me - but you get what you pay for. I had the VPS plan, and it ran fair for what it was - with the usual issues that a company who does not know what they are doing has (security stuff) - yesterday, i get an email telling me that there was "abuse" having to do with my server an that it has been over 24 hours. They suspended th account, which i understand - if it is spewing spam then unplug it, but when I told them I was sorry but I did not get the 1st email, they told me to bad, played the TOS card, and refused to even let me get any data off the server. They also wanted a $50 fee for this mystery abuse, which according to the headers, has nothing to do with any domain or email i have ever owned or even heard of.

Their support is abysmal at best. I have NEVER got anyone on the phone, and as far as tickets, they answer them with such a bad attitude it is not even worth using it.

Of course they refuse to give me a refund AND they refuse to let me use the server so that is some free money for them I guess. Letting a person retrieve data from a suspended server would be nice, but when you sign up with a sub standard company, I guess you have to expect these things.

The bottom line - AVOID burst.net - Spend the extra money and get a gator VPS or a dedicated from the planet or a GOOD company.

Price - it was $22 a month, VPS 1gb ram, 1.2Ghz (I think)
Uptime - fair. I had some issues because the server was provisioned with lax security and had problems with stability, but I was able to fix that myself.

stupid reps
shit servers

I was Burst.net customer for 3 months, my server was down everyday, their support is very slow and not friendly.

I paid for 1 month for my server. but i was trying to go with another company, since their services SUCKS, but they charged me for next month in the mid of month, i was even surprised, all the company charge the client in the end of 30 day (maybe 5 day before the expire date) but they charged me in the 15st day. i told them that i don't want to stay with them, but they said that they renew the servers automatically and they can't refund me.

I sent them the cancellation request via email, but Again they charged me for 3st month lol

when i asked them, they told me that i must cancel via their website form, not via email lol

they are a theft.

Stay a way from burst.net and don't trust them, they will suck your money as well as your energy.

DISASTER! STAY AWAY FROM BURSTNET!

First, I was a long term customer that paid Nocster over $2000 until they had network issues in 2005. My server went down for days and so I moved to EV1Servers. Also, I am trying to buy a house to this is particularly annoying.

After I left in 2005, I came back, or at least tried to, in 2007. This turned out to be the worst mistake I have ever made with hosting. I signed up for their Virtuozzo server for like $250 per month. So after 3 weeks and numerous trouble tickets it still did not work properly. I then asked for the money back from the server and the next month that they had already billed. They refused even though their policy CLEARLY states in section 4.2 called "Acceptance of BurstNETâ„¢ Services" which states "Client shall have the right to evaluate the BurstNETâ„¢ Services as set forth in Exhibit A for a period of thirty (30) days after initiation of the
BurstNETâ„¢ Services, at the charge, if any, set forth in Exhibit E or elsewhere offered by BurstNETâ„¢ and confirmed in the confirmation letter. If Client determines that any BurstNETâ„¢
Services do not reasonably satisfy the standards provided herein, then Client shall promptly notify BurstNETâ„¢ of such deficiency. BurstNETâ„¢ shall use commercially reasonable
efforts to cure such deficiency . In the event BurstNETâ„¢ is unable to cure such deficiency, Client's sole and exclusive remedy shall be the refund of the amounts paid by Client under
the Agreement, and the right to terminate this Agreement."

So I charged them back. Somehow we both won as I got the money back and they said they did too. This is where it gets evil! They then charged me two $35 chargeback fees for a total of $70. Now with late fees and stuff it is $130.

So not only will they completely rip off a long time customer and not honor the agreement, but then they will try to ruin your life by putting the false charges on your credit report.

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM BURSTNET/NOCSTER!

Good service but experienced some downtime

I've been hosting two $100 per month dedicated servers with Nocster (a service of BurstNet) for somewhat less than a year. I have been satisfied with their service, with the exception that one of my servers saw two separate days of downtime when one of their UPS units failed once, and then a week later for a second time, and then finally was well repaired.

The support is generally courteous and reasonably fast.

Their back-end systems (payment interface and such) lack integration and can be idiosyncratic, but seem to get the job done.

A peculiar observation is also that I can't maintain an SSH session with any of the two servers unless I keep it constantly active, and others accessing from completely different locales have verified this. I'm speculating that there must be some network component that is timing out on "idle" connections really fast, but I'm not able to verify that.
