Awardspace is established in 2004. The head office is situated in Germany where the servers are located. The main advantage of Awardspace is that it is offering free web hosting so that its clients can test the service before buying it.

Pros:
* Free - No ads or anything annoying
* Domain hosting
* FTP upload
* PHP, Database and other services
Cons:
* Connection could be faster
* Direct linking to images will redirect you to a 404 page.
* Can't customize the 404 page in the free package.
Overall, it's good for a small personal site.

AwardSpace is a good value for money company. its brilliant, sometimes things are a little slow to load but its nearley always perfect. I would realy recomend them! A friend recomended Awardspace to me when I wanted to create a realy good website and I do recomend them to you. I have not seen a better deal anywhere.

There are many good points to say about Awardspace.com. It offers several different hosting plans including free hosting (which I currently use). You have ample space, lots of monthly traffic, no forced ads, and lots of control over your own site (MySQL, etc.). And that's only for free hosting! There's much more for the other hosting plans ^^
There's a couple things that I don't like about Awardspace.com. The fact that they only allow small sized files to be uploaded and...I can't remember the last thing. Well, they aren't THAT important to me anyway.
There are probably more pros and cons about the site but I haven't tried every single feature they have available and am not a super tech whiz so I probably won't ever use some of the controls.
I've tried many website hosts and this is by far my favorite.

THE BEST THERE IS

Having been RIPPED OFF! by THREE other well-rated(?) companies, I tried AwardSpace as a last ditch effort. Within no time at all I had been telephoned by a customer representative and very soon afterwards, my site was on line. It took no time at all to be on line. I cannot recommend these people highly enough.
I had a couple of problems and e-mailed for tech support. I even got a reply on Sunday.
The other companies - I am still waiting for any sort of contact from either of them.
Look no further, AWARDSPACE!!!!
