Awardspace is established in 2004. The head office is situated in Germany where the servers are located. The main advantage of Awardspace is that it is offering free web hosting so that its clients can test the service before buying it.

Awardspace is a very dependable hosting company. The support department is fast and very effective. Their Max plan includes a full list of features that provides everything I need plus plenty of room for growth. The best part is that they are a one stop shop. You can get everything you need right there. Now they even have SEO products. I’m not very familiar with this but my friend said, that it would help my site. I have used several other hosts, but none as good Awardspace. They are good, real good!

These guys from Awardspace are awesome. I stated using them back in 08 and I went thru all of their service plans. Started with the Basic but as may sites kept growing and growing I was upgrading. The servers are perfect almost no down time unless they do maintenance witch they notify in advance. Also the support team answers all may questions and the do not take more then couple of hours to do so. I will definitely say that they are a great company and I’m really happy that I can use them.

first when i sing up with Awardspace it was hard I don’t know how to do anything. I didn’t even know what is hosting but a friend of me told me that I need is so they can see my page. The support or the awardspace help me set the site. They really fast answer my question when I ask how to do it. Very good support they have that’s why the service is 99% up, not slow too. So I will recommend you to go with them really cool people .

The first year or two there were occasional problems with downtime and mail servers. The past few months it's been problem-free and quite fast and effective. Good support too! Recommended..

Thank god I had some previous experience with other hosting companies and I know what is good and what is bad hosting company. Now I can appreciate what is to use a good stable hosting proveder. I used to have a hosting provider which never picked up the phone not even once through my entire hosting period with them. Then I found Awardspace and my problems has come to an end. I own a training dog site that that is rarely down. Unlike the hosting site I had with my previous hosting company this one is performing very well in google search engine positioning. So I guess that hosting really matters. Also the customer service and the support team of awardspace are really good I have fast straight to the point answers. Not to mention the wonderful control panel these guys have. Really great job and one of a kind service.

I signed-up for their free service as a test drive. I was explicitly told that I would be able to use a certain program on their free service, then when it did not work, I was told to upgrade to the paid service for that to work.
Also, please read the fine print in the service agreement. DO NOT SIMPLY CHECK THE, "I agree," BOX.
You will see in their service agreement that all of their services, paid or free are very restrictive. No hotlinking, and you can't event write about or link to PayPal, eBay, AOL, Amazon or anything that they decide.

I have used (and still use) the free Awardspace hosting plan. I have, in the past years, tried Yahoo hosting, Netfirms and Dreamhost, amongst others. All have failed me in one way or another that was critical to me (bandwidth issues, uptime, banner ads at page top, too expensive)
The only service that I have stuck to is Awardspace. In short, the service is excellent. For a free hosting service, there are remarkably few restrictions (some blacklisted words and 'no outbound connection' are the only restrictions, in fact), and these are removed by paying just about $4 a month.
The upside is probably the best technical support service I have ever known in all my 15 years of internet usage (even for free accounts)
If you want a great hosting experience, none like Awardspace.
P.S.: For offering such great services (and mostly at peanut costs), this humble review was the least I could do to pay them back.
