The best of all I've tried

... it's true that I haven't tried that many but the price, feature set and service suits me and my clients just fine. Never had any real tech or billing problems and they do seem to want to please the client. I love their set of "control panel" tools and 24/7 tech service availability - true sometimes there is a language barrier but for that kind of price you will get that with all hosting companies.

1) Techs do not know what they are doing. They have actually told me 'No, you are not having a problem.' like I am an idiot
2) Technical support is horrible. They don't work weekends and they take there time. Website down for 5 days? Not there problem.
3) Customer service barely speaks English. It is ok if you don't speak English - but do not become a Customer Service agent for English clients.. duh!
4) many emails to them, no responses

If you never have a problem you will be okay. If you do have a technical problem you will talk to someone in Bolivia who can't speak very good English and who really could not care less about your problem. Do not ever expect to get a refund for a problem on their end either - won't happen, at least not without a fight and some help.

Stay away from Aplus.net

We tried to use aplus.net as a dedicated server host, but cancelled service after only a month and a half.

Tech support is extremely rude (that is, if/when they the phone). If you have to leave a voicemail, don't bother. The only way they return your calls is if you threaten service cancellation, and even that takes several days.

Also, if you plan on hosting a site with them, forget about FTPing your files to them (especially files over 2MB). It doesn't work. Upload speeds are horrible. Never tried downloading, as I could never upload my site to test.

Also, their quality control is terrible. One of my servers arrived missing a processor. Another showed up without IIS and without the windows cab files.

We had a difficult and frustrating experience with Aplus and they become so belligerent when we tried to get resolution of our problem that I felt compelled to warn others, and registered this site for that purpose.

A nightmare

THEY SHUT DOWN SIX OF MY WEBSITES!!!! A virus was released that attacked the mailform.pl file that is used to send out emails via a form on an html page. The result was that a large amount of spam mail was sent out. Instead of helping me solve the problem, the aplus.net people pointed their fingers at me! And shut down six of my websites...can you imagine that. I have a customer of their for the past five years and then suddenly they choose to treat me this way. Not one of my customers spam. This was an obvious virus that is running through the Internet. Instead of investigating they shut down six of my websites. And their tech support team is a bunch of recording machines. They just tell you to email the support team with the problems over and over again. I highly recommend that NO ONE use this pathetic of a company. I had over 15 clients under my reseller account. Today I will have only 4, in two weeks we are out of APLUS.net.

They cannot accept email from some domains, and are unwilling to address the problem!
