Aplus is the worst there server go down every single day and you always get some poor excuse. As of June 13th 2008 2:36 pm i am currently on the phone with jeremy from dedicated tech support just because i am yelling at him he keeps putting on hold tryinfg to pissed me off

Often mentionned as the #1 hoster, we have at Aplus.net the worst hosting we ever had. Both servers we have show unbelievable downtimes. We have regularly "switch" issues (says Aplus...) that put the server entirely down. Several times a day, the server does not answer for a few minutes, then comes online again, without noticing anything on the server side (verified on 3 servers total). Two times, the servers have been electrically switched off for "migration" without having been warned. So yes, the servers have been switched off while running big database transactions. Nice.
Summary : good hardware, but VERY BAD connectivity. Pretty bad support.

APLUS.NET: lies/dishonesty, theft of my company's money, arrogant and obnoxious customer service, inept technical support, inaccessible/non-existent billing department, unlawful bank card transactions, the sale of Aplus customer domain names/email addresses to third party agencies and the CEO's 2004 forced confession to inserting hidden links in 17,000 customer websites to achieve a high Google rating, which he later blamed on a sub contractor. ******PLEASE USE YOUR SENSE AND DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SCANDALOUS COMPANY*******

Too much downtime. Slow servers. Really poor attitude. When I outgrew a shared hosting plan. They just suspended my account with no warning at all, and forced me to upgrade to dedicated. The dedicated server i'm on now is significantly slower than the server I was sharing. I will be looking at moving very very soon.

Stay away from this company at all costs. I used to host with Aplus.net. I chose to change hosting companies. I cancelled with Aplus.net and then they still went ahead and charged me for another year's worth of hosting even though I had cancelled and my site was being hosted with someone else. They would not refund my money even though they were clearly in the wrong. These people are rip-offs! Do not use this company!

I have been with APlus for several years and had little trouble until I switched to their Pro plan that supports JSPs. Things have been terrible ever since.

... it's true that I haven't tried that many but the price, feature set and service suits me and my clients just fine. Never had any real tech or billing problems and they do seem to want to please the client. I love their set of "control panel" tools and 24/7 tech service availability - true sometimes there is a language barrier but for that kind of price you will get that with all hosting companies.

Run away very very very fast!
