Slow and poor technical support.
Upload and download documents are like snail.
No support at all. They close their tickets within 24 hours if they don't hear from you even though no solution was offered.

Aplus illegal use of domain name www.pescalex.org

The domain name www.pescalex.org has belonged to me since 2004 and is paid for until 2014. This is ll globally verifiable. (WHOIS, ETC). The site contains language work concerning aquaculture and has been funded by the European Union for over 1 million dollars.
I was informed by the European Union that officials could no longer access my site. This i important as I was being considered for a specific post involving languages.
Aplus which has some connection with the DNS ABAC.COM.
I have been unable to make contact with the company, though I have tried several phone numbers on 6 occasions. I have been unable to contact them through the live chat as I am always disconnected.
Can someone out there please tell my by whay right this company hijacked a domain name that is clearly shown everywhere as belonging to me and is shown as not transferable?
Obviously this is a situation that is going to go much further, as there is serious illegality which has also serious financial consequences.

I'd been with Aplus since 2005 to register domain names. I was happy until they were bought out by Deluxe.com. Deluxe - what a joke.

If you try to transfer an existing domain to them, they reset the settings on it so that your traffic generating web site goes to one of their parking pages - making them money. And you email just goes away - vanishes as if it had never existed. I found that out the hard way when we tried to transfer a family member's domain who wanted me to handle their web site and email.

We cancelled the transfer but the customer service during that was so awful that I decided at that point to end what had been along standing relationship by moving my domains - all of them - to another registrar.

I started moving a few at a time and that went ok. I got down to the last dozen or so and I wanted to just transfer them all and be done with it. And that's really where the shiza started.

First I couldn't get the domains unlocked. The GUI said unlocked but when I tried to transfer them, the new registrar gave me an error message saying locked.

After several attempts at contacting technical support and even having my tickets closed as being "too complicated", I finally filed complaints with ICANN. Magically, the domains are now unlocked.

Then I couldn't get the EPP codes. I was generating them and a few came though but magically those emails stopped too. A new round of ICANN complaints and now my inbox is FULL of all the EPP codes I was trying to generate.

My domains at least SEEM to be transferring so we shall see if this works or if I have to continue filing ICANN complaints.

I concur with the reviews about APlus.net. Since the so-called "upgrade", it's been downhill ever since. Our corporation lost the entire content of our online store-- twice!-- which goes unresolved for weeks. Then our username and password don't work so that we can fix the problem. APlus,net conveys a careless attitude, spending weeks NOT to fix the issue. We've lost business in the worst economy, which no one can afford. To make matters worse, Aplus.net escalations department tried to shift the accountability to my team, but failed to prove that our files were the problem. Once informed that our corporation is migrating our service elsewhere, APlus.net again wipes out our online store, and does not inform us. Then we receive an email from a staff paralegal "Desiree B." that our CEO "threatened legal action", which is completely false, and now appears as a tacit to displace their responsibility. One might expect error from time to time, but such frequency, and deliberate irresponsibly and falsity, are unacceptable. APlus.net, until your senior staff learns how to be honest and accountable, you flunk. It is embarrassing to witness such behavior in business dealings. I will add, a highly regarded web master explained it in this way: APlus.net lacks the technical and customer service skills to succeed. Rather than own up to their deficiencies and improve, they "blame" their customers. In sum, our corporation will not work with APlus.net again.

Tragic consequences!

After being satisfied for years suddenly Aplus lost the content for all five of my websites, ruining my business. Stay away from this company if you know whats good for your business.
Actually there were periodic problems which prevented us from receiving orders.

NO respect to the customer

I'm aplusnet customer for a while. Whenever I have a problem it takes forever to solve. I used to call area code 858 in San Diego, and when I had the problem again they say in a message that the number changed and gave me another one, in Canada! Now by cell phone bill is real high just because they could not respect their customer and tell them it is an international call. That's ridiculous! I fell like Im abandoned, because nobody cares.

Aplus has gone downhill

I signed up with aplus in March 09 and was fairly satisfied for the first 6 months. In December 09, they had an "upgrade". I've read that it was really an outsourcing or buyout. Either way, the results for my site were disastrous. The communication was awful. My site has been down over 50% of the time since then. Features were taken away. Database server was moved without telling me. Any attempt to get answers on what happened are ignored by help desk. There are way too many better options out there to waste your money with this company.

We are finally leaving. Thank goodness. The migration in October of 2009 was horrible. And now, they are having logging problems again.

Useless tech support. They don't fix what they claim they will, they avoid difficult questions. If they can't fix your problem by the 30th time they just start ignoring you, including your request to cancel service as per their own Service Level Agreement. Had to threaten a lawsuit to get it cancelled.
