Close trouble tickets before they actually do anything, can't get through too customer support, lousy user interfaces . . . they suck.

I have found that AIT.com unreliable with numerous down times or periods of unexplained slowness. At least 1x a month, up to several times a month I am notifying tech support of some issue. While their response has been good, sometimes within minutes, they have fixed most, but not all problems quickly. I am leaving AIT because of reliability issues.

I picked AIT because I found their prices very good for the basic features I needed. However, I wound up paying a lot more than what I bargained for.
I had to pay many hundreds of dollars more because of a techinical problem with their logs. The logs ended up accumulating on my website, despite the fact I've been pressing the delete button, which turns out was not deleting the logs because they had changed something.
I still had to pay tons of money for the "excess storage". It was unreasonable.

This company hosted my website. they charge 37.90 per month. from the very beginning there were error messages sent to the customer when an order was placed. after numerous complaints from me for them to fix the problem, the contents of my website were deleted . mr grooms changed his telephone number and would not take my calls. ait continues to charge me $37.90 a month even though they deleted the contents of my site. i have filed a dispute with my credit card company to remove these charges. ait has not made any attempt to refund any of my money or apologize in any way.

AIT is the WORST hosting company out there. I've been with them for years and have endured arrogant, rude, and stupid customer support. Several months ago I started moving domains slowly because I've read how they hijack you if you even suggest you might pull the plug and go elsewhere. Finally, I found a hosting company with no problems, billing that is CLEAR CUT, customer service that fits the bill. AND NO MORE AIT. DON’T USE THEM YOU IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and if their CEO jerk Clarence has his way you’ll pay dearly)

If you have a problem they will mess you over and hold a customer unfriendly contract over your head. I have hosted with many companies and this is by far the worst of them all. I have given them 3 opportunities to host sites for me since 2002 with the last time occuring in 2005. Each time I had problems, each time they acted like they didn't care about my problem because thier contract protected them from it. The last account was supposedly set up, I couldn't access because they had a problem billing my card because they posted a transaction which stayed in a pending status until I started complaining. My credit card company said that AIT had the funds on hold and would have to release them or I could cancel thier transaction in 10 days. I repeatedly told AIT of the problem and they kept telling me I had to pay and kept rebilling the card. Each transaction declined because the only funds I put on the debit card were to pay for this account and they had the funds in a pending status (good thing I am not charged a fee for declines because they resubmitted at least 10 times). Anyway, I had to find other hosting for my client and cancelled AIT. They said they can't cancel until later in the month and could not refund me the money that was finally taken out of the account, even though this whole processes only took 4 days; even though I never was able to sign in to this account because they said I did not pay. They are hidding behind fine print in a contract. No other hosting company I have delt with has had such a disregard for customer satisfaction even if they were covered, and I don't think AIT is in this instance, they would not hide behind thier contracts they try to satify thier customers even customers that are leaving, they might come back some day. I will never go back to AIT.

I've been with AIT for about a year as an IMHIP reseller. I can't stand it any more. I've had to call them twice to tell them the servers were down. I was getting spammed like crazy the first month from my first email account and then they wanted to charge me to put anti-spam software on the email software. I'm paying $60/mo and only get 1gig! On top of that, if I want more than 5 domains I have to pay for the additional virtual host domains! Their control panel on the linux server is horrible. And it comes with very little tools. Of course they have many tools they want to charge you a monthly fee to use. There is no option to upgrade the control panel. Tech support is O.K. Its a crap shoot. Somedays you get a tech who is very knowledgable and will fix a problem right away. Other times your waiting for two days to get an email response from a real person, not automated.

Tech Support at Aitcom.net have not fixed our problem...it's now 5 days!!! Yes that's 5 days. Our dedicated server is really slow with just 2 users connected. Obviously a networking problem. But could anyone at AIT fix it .... no way it has been 5 days already and still no fix. Their first response to us took over 9 hours, only to say that we are looking into this. Our other server in the UK is 3 to 5 times faster. This is a big con. We have even paid $69 dollars for pay per incident support. Thicking this would give us fast tech support... what rubbish.

I've used AIT for over a year now for my own store and test site for other sites. I've had very little trouble, and they've always fixed it in less then a day. The only problems that have occured to cause noticable downtime was my fault, and they fixed it. Only possible complaint was recently the mysql server froze and it took them over half a day to fix it, but it's not very bad. I have the 18.95/mo bussiness plan, and will soon be getting an I-MHIP plan for hosting more sites.
