I was a ADDR.com web hosting customer back in 2003 but cancelled my account due to one technical issue after another. I cancelled my account properly per their instructions and still have the emails and the fax that I sent confirming my cancellation.

Then, years after I cancelled, ADDR.com billed my credit card $743.21!

I called ADDR.com several times to get a resolution but each time I was told that the issue will need to be reviewed by an account specialist. After several days I received an email stating that my account was reviewed and a refund was denied because my account was not closed. I faxed and mailed all of my correspondence to them but would never talk to me about the issue.

I filed a complaint with my credit card company who reviewed the issue. After several weeks my credit card company notified me that they have removed the charges from my card because ADDR failed to respond to the complaint. My credit card company also stated that they have a history deceptive billing practices by ADDR.com.

If you are a former customer of ADDR.com be sure to cancel the credit card that you've used to order services from them!

Had used ADDR numerous times in past years, but my experience this time was terrible. No one, including the managers, speaks clear audible English, no one would actually listen to what my needs were. So as you can imagine, they failed miserably in servicing my basic web hosting needs. Idiots!

I had an account with Addr.com, which I closed in 2003 due to extremely poor customer service. Now, in 2007, they are trying to say that I owe them almost $500 because my credit card expired in 2003???? I closed the account, got a different hosting company, and years later they are trying to say I owe money? My web site was not visible, so obviously the account was canceled. They either have no idea what is going on, or are deliberately trying to scam me.

I first became an Addr customer in December, 2000 when I signed up for a 1 year prepaid hosting package, with an option to renew each year for $107.24. I was generally happy with the functionality and ease of use of the hosting service at that time. I renewed twice with my credit card, the last renewal occurring on 12/16/2002. Based on the order I placed, the hosting relationship should have expired on 12/16/2003, which would be fine as I did not have a need to keep the domain active beyond 2003.

Recently, when trying to renew my domain with Network Solutions, I was informed that the ‘primary’ contact for chrisandjes.com was still Addr and I needed to first get that contact changed. Upon my support call, to my complete surprise, I was told that my account was still open now 4 years later, & I had an outstanding balance of $429.84 that needed to be paid immediately. This was the first communication I had with Addr in over 4 years and it was entirely initiated by my inquiry.

When I contacted the billing dept, they informed me of a current policy by which my hosting order was automatically renewed and billed to my account. This was not disclosed in the terms of my original order, nor was I notified when the auto-renewals occurred. Apparently, the contact information being used by Addr did not reflect the correct, updated addresses I had previously furnished. Getting data from Addr is difficult and disjointed. My requests for the original contracts with attached terms and conditions and complete communication attempt history have not yet been fulfilled.

A quick study of consumer complaints reveals these billing and administrative practices have been an ongoing issue at Addr. This company has a history of unfair and deceptive business practices.

Extremly good i have been hosting with them for nearly 3 years from now they are reliable and the best in the hosting industry..

Its reliable and cheap hosting, one good hosting in its category.

I went with them in 2000 since they were at that time a good buy. I have been satisfied with their product and basically no problems. I think many problems of others come from inexperience.

Addr. started out as a really good company years ago. beginning in 2004 they were apparently bought out-- possibly by an Indian Company. Immediate problems with email started- and have not let up ALL YEAR. Excuses excuses excuses from ADDR. support-- who flat out LIED on many occassions. the company applies a SPAM filter to EVERY email account- and you CANT SHUT IT OFF. Consequently I was shut out of my 3 Yahoo Groups for weeks-- which I rely on for my business. Other times LONG LONG and sometimes OVERNIGHT DELAYS ON EMAIL

The web server was not problematic- but since I rely on EMAIL as part of my business, these constant break downs and delays of email are unforgivable.

my domain hosted with addr.com since sumer 2000. at beginning quiet satisfactory in many areas of services. support sometimes fast sometimes no reply or no solution for days. since fall 2003 until now mail server had repeated problems. hours or more of mails lost or delayed up to a few days. recently sendmail OUT-going mails sometimes lost. support appears to find no solution and displays friendly desinterest in solving problem while offering their "we are sorry ..." majordomo mail-list never worked again after a server move within addr.com ealrier this year. had once severe problems with renewal using card. tools and services actually outdated if compared to other hosting services - limited mail accounts, no subdomains, ... support staff very friendly BUT fully IN-competent and unprofessional by qualifications !!! i plan a move to different hosting service these months
