We had our websites hosted in Vodahost for over 3 years. The first couple years the service and uptime was excellent. When we had any technical difficulty their support team was fairly efficient to solve our issues. But this last year has been a disgrace and unfortunately we have been forced to look for a more robust solution with a local hosting company. The problem we experienced with Vodahost is long server downtimes. Seems like recently they have more disastrous server failures which lasts days at a time and the fact of not being able to receive or send emails during 24, 48 or sometimes up to 70 hours is critical for our business. Servers fail, we know that, but not having a redundant system is very frustrating and this past failure was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not a terrible option, it's very affordable, but if you need something more close to a business critical option, definitely spend the extra money and look for a more reliable host company.

I'm an MCSE and know my business. I hosted with Vodahost and never received any reply except when they wanted money. The phone is a joke since it sends you to a ticket system that doesn't work, the ticket reply says to submit another ticket. I changed credit cards so the number was different, thank god, or they would have renewed me without my permission. They refused to release the domain name I had first hosted with them, which is illegal. They make it look like 30 people work there when it looks like 2 or 3 make up the company. They keep switching you to a different "dept". Very cute, since each dept. is one person, probably the same one using a different name. If you complain, they trash your site. If I ever catch up to those slimeballs, they will pay dearly for the tricks. If you use Vodahost, you are a moron. Any good reviews on this page are no doubt posted by Vodahost itself. No other person would say anything good about them. And I'm a pro, god help beginners who are learning from scratch. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The following is my experience with Vodahost: They were OK when all they had to do was collect my money. When things get a little more complex; their customer support just doesn't cut it, and they suspend your account without warning. They then refuse to help resolve the issue, and won't bring your sites back up again. they Close the support tickets unresolved. Not good enough if you're trying to run any kind of on line business..... don't go there unless you're specifically after delays and grief one day. Their phone numbers are phony recordings that tell you to go to their web site and log a ticket that they'll take too long to respond to while they appear to shift it from one department to another.
Just don't go there !!!
The customer feed back on the their own server is dishonest, because it doesn't show the comments by those they've dissappointed.
You really just don't want to help do you!
Close my account and read the feed back. You'll deserve it!

I don't know of any scripts I'm running. I have very simple blog pages up, and am not sending emails. Are you able to identify which page might be doing this and isolate that please?
At the moment I'm doing exactly nothing because I cannot access my account. Any of it. At all!
How can you help me get this resolved?

The reason your site was suspend is because it violated clause
10a of our terms of service which can be found on the below url.

Your account spiked the server at 19% of CPU usage and triggered
a fail safe auto suspend. We have 500 accounts on each server. We
can not have one account using 19% of server CPU.
Your suspension has nothing to do with bandwidth or disk space usage.
Your suspension is purely based on cpu abuse.

Please take note! If you are looking for a hosting company and reading this to find more about Vodahost please read:
They are terrible! The issues as you will see on many review sites stem from the fact that their support system is a shambles.
It will take you many attempts to login to your account, login to the support section and submit any form of support ticket.
Their servers have a habit of going down for days on end, so if you are hosting anything special be prepared to lose business because of these monkeys!
Now moving hosts asap.
But as always when it comes to payment they are super quick.
You will need your head examined to host with this company!

Three years ago we started our municipal website hosting with VodaHost. The service was great! We were able to get our websites going and have all the email we could have ever wanted. We ran into a few issues of our IP they assigned us having been used by a spammer in the past. They helped resolve this issues fairly quickly!
Now, 3 years later, they decided they needed to upgrade their servers. Very nice, keeps the newest equipment going. How ever, they have completely messed up the server transfer which has completely distroyed my email and websites (3 of them). For over a month now our email has been spotty, some of it going to our new server and some going to the old server. If we try to use an email client like Outlook, we can't send emails due to DNS issues.
I have submitted support tickets via email and their support website with no luck in correcting this issue. I have requested to speak with a person on the telephone, with NO LUCK there.
I do get responses from their tech support that are hardly readable in english!
Think long and hard about using this service.

For the first two years the service was flawless but in the last year it has gone down substantially. My website is constantly down and my business depends on it being up. Being unable to use email stops business completely. My customers think I am a flake and am irresponsible. You can't contact them by phone to get any answers and when I do put in a support ticket, they wait until it is up again and respond with "its working fine now". As a business owner that is just not good enough! It sucks to tell employees and customers when they ask when the site is going to be back up that I don't know. I am in the process of changing hosting companies right now.

Just wanted to let everyone in on the type of company Vodahost is. Our company in a busy season and we keep having our sales guys call in about our site being down. We have offices in PA, KS, NC, SC and our headquarters in GA. I have been emailing support back in forth for a few days about our site being down 3 times, 3 different day, in the past 3 weeks. Each time the site will go down for 3-4 hrs and emails go down as well. Note: We can still send emails but cannot receive them and they eventually come in when the site goes back up.
Here is the email I got this morning when I asked them why the site keeps going down and sent them a copy of my site monitor email stating that the site was down for hours.

The problem is not what the site is doing now, it is the fact that it keeps going down.
Since I could not access the site for a total of 5-6hrs the past few weeks, I would not say it works perfect.
Look at my past tickets, do you guys think I put these in for kicks?
I am the IT Administrator, so I know a little about computers. When I notice the site has gone down I remote into a few computers in different offices around the country.
I don't waste your time if the problem is on my end. However, when the problem is on your end I expect you to take responsibility and handle it.
I give you guys proof that the site was down from multiple site monitors and yet this is still my problem????
Maybe its just me but if the website, email and cpanel are down on four different computers in four different states multiple times in 3-4 weeks you may have a problem.
Anyway, Laura Dunkin already responded to this on Sunday, saying the site was back up.
I guess all I can do is hope and pray on a whim that this does not continue to happen.

As you can see the crack IT team at VodaHost can only fix a problem you are having if their computer tells them there is a problem. If computers worked perfectly all the time this system would work, but since they don't this system is flawed. BTW, I have a BA in IT Administration so I do have some insight into what I am talking about.
After this, I am finishing the time I have paid for and moving hosts.
I would not let VodaHost host my dog's website.

SCAM - WORST HOSTING EVER - NONPROFESSIONALS

Fist they say you can use any domain numbers but you won't be able to separate the first domain from the rest (user accessing the first domain will have access to all other domains you host with them). The speed is not as advertised, my site would start loading after few seconds. After 3 weeks of hosting they change server and IP and DNS server IP. Creating a mess. They changed DNS records as they think it should without ask me. My registrar had the old IP of their DNS. I called them but they do advertising on the phone on my money. The support ticket page wouldn't load (at least for my account). I wrote emails but all emails keeps coming back with an error from their php automated system. They send me some emails asking me to change my A record. How to do it when I couldn't even log to my account. I'm still waiting for paypal refund.

First, there are only 2 or 3 poeople that actually operate the "company". The whole operation is indeed a scam and they will deliberately pick fights with customers, disallow any cancellation of the service by one nefarious method or another so they can bill you again for the following year, use fake names and ghosts, will not respond to service requests, will punish any sort of criticizm on their forum by sabatoging your site...and the list goes on.
I would suggest all of you do what I did; file a formal complaint with the FBI (or whomever in your own country), who will, sooner or later, take action.
They are despicable human beings and need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, which will happen, sooner or later.
