Their basic plans are well worth the money. Although I've had problems, as others have mentioned, they were resolved by uploading a new page or something similar to that effect or contacting customer service.

Most of the problems I've had with them were with their email servers and that was probably because of spammers using the same email servers to spam people.

Neither one of us knows much about websites.

I signed up to use UCV Host because it was the cheapest option. Yes, I should have known better, but the site is for a non-profit, tiny animal shelter which has pretty basic web needs. I don't know very much about websites, but I was using FrontPage and UCV Host was meeting my needs.

They have now changed something in their system for the second time without notifying me. Live Chat was not available and their assistance over email was less than desirable (my favorite is when I write in and they tell me my website is displaying fine---um yeah, not the problem I wrote in about).

I communicated with Monique over live chat today. They no longer support FrontPage, although I've already paid them for three years of hosting and for our domain name. When I asked what programs similar to FrontPage they support, she gave me a link to a program saying it would work for what I need (I specified that I did not know how to write code). Her link was to a file transfer program, which is not the same as FrontPage, so I have no idea what I'm going to do for the animal shelter.

You get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

I have hosted about 4 Websites here since 2002 Year and there is problem every time.
They Hacked website pages and post spam and abscene(porn links) information. Looks like they sell Emails addresses of domains. Inbox are flooded with numerous spam and porn content. You create a new wierd email address, next day you see 1000s spam mails.
Website goes off line. FTP dont work all the time. Control panel.. forget it. Login successfully log into login home page. Support, every time site dont even ping at command prompt, they run website in their intranet and says it is working for them. DONT RISK YOUR MONEY. THEY BEHAVE DIFFERENTLY AS YEARS PASS. I am customer with them for the past 7 years, readers, trust me. I still have few sites needed to move, but they locked the FTP and CONTROL PANEL and not responding they also blocked my email though funds exists for hosting package. - Venk

Words cannot describe how happy I am that I switched my hosting from Digital Sense Hosting to UCV. I now pay (slightly) less than I used too, yet the quality of service has improved by 2000%. I'm now also getting 20 times the amount of web-space. Digital Sense Hosting (call this a review within a renew) overcharge, occasionally suffer from system problems and have a slower transfer rate. With UCV I noticed that my sites are loading faster.

The live chat support is simply brilliant. The fact alone that you can find someone there to help you is already a plus. No more sending e-mails and waiting for an answer. Problems are solved on the spot!! Another plus is the fact that once help is sought, expect to be helped with patience and dedication. A word of praise for Monique and Bryan are in order. Well done !!!. These helped me with the migration of my hosting and also with a number of technical issues. On one particular occasion we spent almost a day with them and they kept on helping us (even though we were close to breaking their patience threshold) - Eventually we found that this particular problem was related to a problem on one of our PC's and they had no blame!

I cannot but encourage you all that are looking for an inexpensive, feature filled and friendly host to switch to UCV. I assure you that if they keep the current level of service you will not be disappointed.

My only regret is that I did not learn of this company four years ago!

First i have Basic Hosting Plan, and after one year i need new hosting for my domains and i transfer to Reseller Account Plan. And i must to say that they have THE BEST Live support. Why ? Because whenever i have a problem or need a help, they always are there, and thay always fix any kind of help or problem that i have.

Hey! I found UCV Hosting over a year ago, and I noticed they had $1/mo hosting. So I signed a friend up for his printing business site. The service is reliable and the control panel is very nice. You can't beat $1/mo hosting with 1000 mb storage. They have other great prices for more advanced plans but this is sure enough for what he needs and also for his email.

Today there was a problem logging into the email and I contacted live tech support on the website. It is really fantastic that they have customer service sitting there 24/7 to help with any problem!!! There is someone to TALK TO!!!

I got someone instantly, her name was bhumika, it was around 5:30 PM USA ET, and she went to check what my problem could be and said all I have to do is reset the email password and explained how to login to the control panel and do that. Did it and all is back to normal.

I think UCV is the best among all. their rates are rly unbeliveable and on that they provide best serivce 24 x7. I specialy like to say thanks to all the customer care people who work behind the screen for 24/7 to help Us. I wants to say their service excellent.

The error I see is: This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. That would make it your problem, not mine.

Every morning for the past week the link on my website stop working. So I contact the "Live help" I always get 1 of 2 people, either "Monique" or "Laura" neither one can spell or speaks english fluently. After anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes they fix my links. Then the next day I start all over again. When I questioned why this is happening I got the run around and finally they tried to upsell me. This company is really BAD!

It is difficult to find out answers on their help page... That's why support is crucial especially if you need anything more than personal web site (like forum or php), and their support won't help. I didn't get any respond to my emails. There's also "live" support at the MSN, but after two questions they blocked me on MSN. BTW, I don't like to bother support with stupid questions, but I had to figure out how to add more sites and to add subdomain, and as I said help page is almost always down.
