I am not a master web designer, I know just enough to get into trouble. While the other guys take your money and throw in the lion's den, Site ground is with you every step of the way. So even though I dont understand all this stuff, I can still have a great professional looking web site without going broke in the process! Thank you so much!!

I paid a total of $33.95 when I signed up for what was advertised as $9.95 for 1 year.
Now I find I can't add an add-on domain?! And I've got to "upgrade" to get enough CPU to run my site!

I would like to emphasize that this price, as described on the promo page includes our full-featured web hosting services for one entire year without any domain fees. On our order page, customers have the option to use an existing domain, which is free, or request a new domain registration, which adds additional $14.95 to the fees paid. Also, during sign up, if you are purchasing a new domain, we recommend users to add ID protect to this domain name for better security from identity thefts. Our experience shows that this feature is very popular and extremely useful for our customers, and this is why we suggest it during the registration. Thus, it seems you have added both a new domain and ID protect to your order and the price increased from $9.95 to more than $30. Regarding the addon domains, our standard hosting plan does not include any addon sites and we do not advertise such anywhere on our sales or other related pages. However, customers can easily upgrade to our Hosting PLUS plan where unlimited addon domains are included. If you think that you will not be able to use this account as you wish, let me know what your domain name is, so I can double-check the situation, and I will arrange with our Billing department service cancellation and refund.

Horrible quality and Customer Service

I have been hosting with these guys for years and devastating issues pop up regularly. I just received info that there has been a HD failure again on my main site, this is the second time on this one site. All e-mail accounts have been wiped. First time they wiped my entire website and database.
I paid for an SSL certificate in December 2010 and it took them 8 months to figure it out and today, September 2011 it is still not working. I got an e-mail from them stating that they want me to fill more forms out. And all they do is re-sell Global's certificates.
I have never gotten as much as a sorry from them. Not even a free month to re-build my business. I lost clients & money due to the horrible state of their infrastructure. HD failures are a regular occurrence every 8 months at least.
Getting hold of customer service is next to impossible alone and the company feels that they have zero responsibility for everything that is happening.
All of their tech support is outsourced and if you actually get hold of them it's impossible to get anything done.
Do not host with these people, don't get the price fool you. Contact me if you have any questions, perhaps I can actually get the customer service to e-mail me !

They are inexpensive and reliable. When I do freelance new web site development, I require that my customer have the site developed and hosted on siteground. They're that good.
I started out developing in HTML 4.1 about 5 years ago and have been transitioning to Joomla 1.7 over the last 6 months. No more HTML development for me. It's too much like work.
I have been retired since 2001 and web site development is primarily a retirement hobby. As you probably know, it's a bottomless pit for learning about new technologies over time. It keeps me very happy and occupied in retirement.
