a lot of offers but no reliability

the plan sounds great, but when it comes to actually using it, siteground is the wrong choice. With all the limitations in place, you will NEVER be able to get even close to use either the bandwidth or the webspace, not even by 10%. Worst is that if your website gets frequented more often, siteground will start to put on further restrictions and limitations to keep it small, always referring to their shared servers.
My worst experience with siteground was through my wordpress blog, which I was running from there. It was doing quite well, lots of articles were posted, but suddenly siteground informed me that I had to reduce the number of articles, because the index page was clicked too often. And that is not a joke. A php website uses of course the index all the time and with a 10mb database, there could be no problem at all, but there was. And it meant for me to find me a new host quickly and loose a lot of the money I had already spent for my plan, just to not loose my posts. We are talking about 500 posts here, which is not much for a wordpress blog. And that although siteground specifically claims to be great for wordpress blogs. It is not. They put restrictions on my website, leading to errors all the time and gave me 1 week to get rid of hundreds of posts before being totally shut down.
So I can in all honesty say that this is not at all a service I can recommend to anyone.

Great hosting for the money

Siteground is a quality host with good uptime and is a definite value. Tech service isn't always prompt on a 24 hour basis, but they do try to take care of their customers.
They offer most services, though some are at an extra cost.
Overall, I recommend Siteground... best host I've been with in the 15 years I've hosted sites.

In the past, I have had 99% uptime as they quoted on their site, the only downtime was either caused by other companies, or upgrades - even with the upgrades it was once just to get me on a brand new server.
Their customer support is never canned (scripted) so you feel a sense of customization with it, along with the professionalism and respect you as a customer deserve.
I will be keeping as a customer with siteground for years to come!

Siteground offers the best package by far, and its support is very good also. Although the ticketing response is fast, sometimes its difficult to get remedies if the answer is not in the knowledge base.
They do offer support for non hosting related issues but at a price.

Hi,
I choosed siteground because they support Joomla and they give me a space I never dreamed of.
I have no problem with the space limitations but after 2 months my moudels in joomla gave an error.I did not change anything in my site so where the mistake came from.?
The support page is frustrating. you have to go through pages untill ypu can post your question. They are fast in responding but my problem is still there.
I thought every hosting company has free backups for there customers, I learned from siteground that this not true. if you want a backup you have to pay.
I will never renew my plan.
