I have not been able to reach a live person via phone or email at Setupsite.com for months. As of today the phone is disconnected and the site is off line and no longer shows a back bone connection.
I think they finally have closed the doors. None of the many phone numbers I have for them work and no email is working. If you did not back up your website on their servers my bet is you are out of luck. The old phone number is 1-866-292-9683 or 732-415-4200 are no longer even going to voice mail.
Sad to see the place closed, glad I stopped all credit card payments. If you have used a charge card keep checking since they billed me 5 days ago just before they went off line. Dispute it and a few months back for service issues. You likely will get a refund on your bill.

I use to work for a company that used their hosting back in 2006 was good up until 2009 and they pulled the same issues everyone here is posting. When I called no one answered, when I emailed no one replied. I was so mad we couldn't even get our database backed up by this company to move over to a different hosting platform. Eventually was able to contact the owner of setupsite.com domain by looking them up on whois and emailing this address tied to this company's domain which is "webmaster@SYME.COM" and just kept sending emails day after day until I would get a response. Got our stuff backed up eventually and moved over to a different hosting environment that has great reviews on the BBB. If your hosting with setupsite, MOVE NOW!!!! Bad customer support, I can't stress it enough!!!! I recommend anyone who needs to move their hosting try 3essentials.com, they were a pleasure to work with and have been with them for years.

I have used them for years and used to send my clients their way as well. Their database server is offline and even though I have done numerous phone calls and emails, no one has responded. I just want my database backup and will move on.

Very Short: If you are serious about your website stay away. Their support is next to none. Uptime is more like Downtime. Mail servers terrible. I am moving away soon.

We have been hosted on Setupsite for more than 5 years but finally we are ready to move.
Their service is impossible and we have experienced several problems. Mail servers are often down. Web and FTP servers too. Inaccurate and unpolite response to technical issues. The biggest problem came when their server disk was crashed and without any notification they uploaded a back up taken long ago, so our site looked completely different. We were obliged to FTP/upload almost all our site from our local back-ups.
Stay away from them. You may pay less but you get nothing. Try paying more to get a reliable hosting company.

Just a reminder. If you are having problems contacting setupsite.com, it's because they are no on autopilot. I have been trying to communicate with them for over 3 weeks now with no response back. I have used all forms of communication allowed by setupsite.com.
Switch now before your domain expires because I have found it's a huge headach to do it. Your best bet is to switch to someone using the same registrar. below is a link to the hosting service I use. check out their services. I only provide the link below because if you purchase a plan through it i get a small credit. consider it a thank you because I really like the cost and what these guys have to offer. Your going to love the cost considering setupsite is crazy. again just check out what these guys have to offer. They respond pretty quickly too when it comes to customer support.

I am now doing a transfer to another service. They have been impossible to get a hold of for over 2 weeks. their phones have been changed, no more voicemail, and they do not respond to e-mail.
