JodoHost was launched in December 2002, by parent company APYL Software & Systems Ltd. (www.apyl.com) which has been in business since 1995. JodoHost started off as an India-based company, but since then have grown into a firm that hosts customers from over 100 countries. At the moment, JodoHost is has offices both in New Delhi, India and Miami, Florida

Jodo, at least for my needs, has proven to be the one of the most professional hosts out there. There should be a category to rate "professionalism", that is an ethical, responsible and client-focussed approach. Jodo is definitely all those.

The reason I don't give customer service a 10, is simply that standard support is often manned by less than fluent English speakers, so communication is sometimes a bit awkward. But it's very easy to get hold of higher level support, they're all very accessible and friendly. The support experience is generally very good, far better than a lot of others.

If "customer service" was separate to "support", I'd give that a 10. Jodo is far from a faceless company, they really make an effort to address individual needs.

Overall, great company, one of the best in their class.

They are simply the Worst!!!

I've been hosted with them for over 2 and half years. During this time I had to contact them several time and I don't remember a single time when they resolved or even tried to resolve the issue. Their customer/technical support is critical and aggressive. Technically they are not well versed with their own service. Most of the time they don't have answers or will take too long to answer that you can stay online.

Their mass mailers will say their service is going to be down for a couple of hours and then you are stuck for a few days. Their only reply regarding this is -"Please keep checking our forum thread for updates regarding the same". It sounds as if they don't know themselves whats going on. I'd strongly recommend you guys not to fall pray of their false advertising and choose them. If you don't have much time to kill Or if you don't want to bang your head against a wall, simply AVOID them.

Customer wanted us to know when the Control Panel will be up on our 24x7, 365 days LiveChat Support. Customer Support told the Customer to stay on LiveChat to be told of next update or check Customer Support Forums where technical staff was providing regular updates. Customer Support offered manual help, if the issue could be addressed without getting into Control Panel.

JodoHost Support is always courteous and try to help our customers by going extra length. This is one reason, JodoHost is serving from last eight years and now has customers in 100 countries.

Reason for Control Panel down was necessitated for providing better services to our customer, by moving to completely new and powerful hardware platform. This will allow JodoHost to offer 30-60% increased disk space and transfer to our existing and new customers.

I am a client with JodoHost since 5 years, I faced an issue with them and knew that they are NOT caring for you at all, they are HAPPY when they suspend you account, they REFUSE to resume you account until taking as much money as they can from you.

Hello Mr. Ashraf,

We have no intention to suspend any account manually, nor we do that, till the account is abusing our servers.

Each account has some credit limit, and after that system allow aprox 10-20 days time to remit negative balance of an account holder. If account holder does not pay till the limit of time, then system automatically suspend the account.

Your right, after your account get suspended due to non-payment we can resume the account only after you pay for the same,because system will again suspend your account if you donot remit the balance.

We are using automatic billing system of Hsphere, and it has some generic rule setuped for each account hosted with Hsphere cp, We cannot change these rule for any specific account using our regular plan.

However, as a JodoHost customer or looking for JodoHost services you can always contact me, i will surely try to help you with the best.

I was bieng with jodohost for more than 1.5 years of hosting, i was in windows hosting. First they have very bad services , i think there servers are infected with viruses .. mine website got infected . i had to move to another host :(

JODO's slimy billing overages

I am starting to let everyone know to be cautious of Jodohost.

I have been with them for many years now but due to recent events, i have moved to another provider.

They lost their backups of my sites, got hacked and are charging me for it, and deny getting my payments for what I did actually pay them - a fair portion of what I actually used.
OVERAGES:
After creating an empty account with some small files in it, for testing, I was later billed for $200 for overages.
Support reviewed the data and gave IP's which came from Romania, india and China. They hacked Jodo's servers and tech support admitted it.
BUT jodo billing, instead of apologizing, they told me to pay the amount. I tried to fight the issue with facts which fell on deaf ears. (or email)

BACKUP PROBLEMS: Another issue.
JOdo markets the fact that they have BACKUP of all websites so we dont have to worry incase we loose our sites. So I didnt backup for a year myself since I trusted that.
I asked them to restore 3 websites from backup to a new account ( where I was combining a couple accounts.) There was a technical glitch on their system so I just asked them to simply restore it the way it was and and they said 'no problem'. So when I deleted the current site and moved to another account to have them restore it, all that was restored was an EMPTY site. They said that is all they had, even though the site was live and running for several years, so no backup was to be found. I then had 3 sites with full training sites that were lost.
( not really lost since I had a backup at home from last year, but the site updates and content was lost since last year which meant tonnes of work...still trying to do btw)

So I moved hosts to Netfirms which is cheaper and seems like better service.

Oh ya. Get this. So Jodo shuts down my sites and my client sites while I am fighting this overage issue. Its like they know that if they hold us hostage with sites down, then I have to pay their huge overage costs to go LIVE again.

Nice try! I stood my ground and used my rights as a customer and simply took my losses and cancelled my account and moved.

I talked to my clients(friends) and they understood the situation and simply moved to another host themselves with their sites being down for 4 days ...thanks to Jodo.

I have never had such a bad experience and will try to let others in the hosting world know in the next couple weeks about these issues.

I even paid $17.50 for the last month which they shut down my sites. But now they deny receiving that payment today, saying it was not received and to pay again.

I sent a complaint to Paypal about this and to let them know that this was paid last week and the records show it.

I signed up with JodoHost with a recommendation from a friend of mine. I had not clue about JodoHost before that. I signed up for the Windows VPS value plan knowing nothing about servers or how to manage them. Within the first few weeks of using JodoHost I found how AWESOME their support is. I have never had a host that support compares to JodoHost. Their support team is by your side until you are happy and they actually listen to your problems.

I would recommend JodoHost to everyone! Their prices and support are unbeatable!

Cancellation issues

I'm trying to cancel the hosting plan, and they don't have a cancel link anywhere! When I called them to chat, they gave me a URL to a cancel form, witch I filled 2 times already, and they DID NOT CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. Don't go on that one. I'm still trying to cancel, and are ignoring it!!

I have had a very positive experience with this host. Jodohost is my fourth host as a reseller. The value is excellent and you have reasonable control of the sites. I am hosting 17 websites based at wwww.escouting.net

It helps if you are an experienced reseller. Tech Support is adequate.

Great Host

I have been with JodoHost for several months on a ValueHost plan. To make things short, Jodohost has an excellent team and offer great support and uptime. As a reseller, i have sites on several of their servers and uptime is always around the 99.9% mark. Outages are rare and Live Chat support is amazing.. You can connect to a support operator 24x7 (i've frequently used their support in late hours) and have always got quick solutions to my issues. Average resolution time to my tickets is 30min

English is not an issue for me really. They do not have super fluent english, but you can easily communicate with them.. My recommendation is avoid using slangs and long, difficult words and you won't have an issue. This is just a minor issue compared to how fast their support is.

They have a great customer forum which means customers get their complaints resolved quite fast
