Access is no problem, but the after sale support is very poor. I agree with other reviews that SPAM from their servers is a huge problem. Yahoo has gray-listed such that ALL hostgator originated email goes to my SPAM box. Prevents or complicates forwarding emails. I also needed to use Front Page extensions and couldn't get them to load. Got support fairly quickly, but the feature is still not working correctly. So now what do I do?... I want to add another domain to the site, but am not comfortable doing that.

They where good when my site had no problems, but when problems arise the support staff can't do shit all they do is tell you to open a support ticket so they can take their sweet ass time responding to you. They seem to have an interest in getting new customers and leaving the old ones to fend for themselves. Well one thing is for certain they lost me as a customers and will loose many more in the future

I really liked HostGator's price, the only downfall is support is slow and iffy at best.

I switched to these guys & have had nothing but issues ever since. I resell hosting for my web design clients & switching to them took so long I lost clients from it (great way to start). Ever since I have had issues with email, spam, among other problem. Support is lacking. They claim to have Instant Message & phone support, but they are simply sales people given very basic info, so if you have a question any more difficult than something a monkey can answer, you will get the dreaded canned "Please email support@hostgator.com" response. So basically, they only provide email support. This just makes problems last for days because of the slow communication.

Lastly, I now have a problem that any email sent to a Yahoo email address, never gets to them. After weeks of waiting to get this solved I received a response saying that yahoo would not respond to their emails, so there is nothing they can do about it. That is right folks, I am now looking at 20 angry clients that are running businesses, but cannot send emails to yahoo addresses. I am now looking to switch before I lose more clients because of this rediculous problem.

I have used the online chat support and it is great. You do not need to wait at all to get the answer you needed.

Fast and painless setup, Fast, responsive support. Only once (out of about 10 questions) was I not 100% satisfied with a solution and that was a minor issue in the first place.

I was with Infinology for 2 years. When my plan came close to expiring, I searched for a new webhost because Infinology is just plain aweful. I read may reviews and determined Hostgator to be the best value for the dollar. I also called them several times, even used the online chat support and they actually respond with courtesy! What a difference from Infinology.

Thus far, everything is going great with Hostgator. Read the majority of reviews and you will see most agree.

They are abrupt, rude, and don't really care to help you.

Ask around from anyone who has ACTUALLY TALKED TO THEM.

Their staff used for service/support is a JOKE!
