I've been with GoDaddy since 2006. I have 104 domain names hosted or parked with them.
Their website interface is extremely confusing to me, especially if I haven't used it for a month so I forget.
However, they make up for it by providing the best telephone support of any company I've ever dealt with.
1) They are Americans, and most speak clearly and in normal terms, not Geek.
2) Those that do speak Geek don't usually mind when you ask for a clearer explanation
3) The Customer service people on the phone don't pressure you to hurry up, or act exasperated when you ask questions which are surely way below their level of learning.
4) I frequently call with one question but think of others while on the line with them. They always take time to answer every question to my satisfaction.
5) I've called GoDaddy's support probably 100 times and I've only had two bad experiences. When I did, I just ended the call, and called right back in order to get a different person. Works every time! :)
6) Did I mention their phone bank is in the USA?
I have two major complaints.
1) The admin side of my GoDaddy account runs reallllly slowwwwwly. Tech support tells me it's because I have 104 domain names. Seems to me they should fix that for me. I spend a lot of money there.
2) Their admin pages time out way too fast! I do a million things a day, and so if I'm working on a website then a customer comes in or calls in, or if I have to search for graphics on my hard drive, I have to ignore the admin page for 10-30 minutes. When I come back, it's logged itself out! I want a 60-minute timeout allowance.
Now, I do have a small ecommerce site hosted with GoDaddy and I have not noticed it running slowly, even though my admin side does.
I should note that their ecommerce software is simple, and looks good (because I used one of their templates), but doesn't allow a lot of options like good control over coupons. It's basic, but doesn't require the learning curve of something like Miva Merchant.
I recommend GoDaddy very highly--especially to people who are not highly tech-savvy.
