Watch for Add-on services, you cannot remove

All was fine, until a couple of problems which snowballed. Firstly I tried to cancel (via helm) some items which were on a kind of auto-renew. Found this was impossible - had to contact customer support, who "lost" my support ticket, eventually saying it had just been overlooked!
After hours of heated debate, got the Add-ons removed, and then found my site had lost alot of its promised "flexibility". I was virtually unable to take control of it. After a couple of weeks, helm (icons) got replaced and the whole control panel got transfered to a new link based system. Complained but got ignored.
Found out some of my domains were awkward to renew, some were renewed by F2H themselves and locked down from me. Very strange. Glad to no longer to associated with them. Might be cheap, but try elsewhere (i.e United.Hosting)

Crap in a crisis

Up until recently I have been very happy with fast2host. Performance is more than acceptable and everything has run so smoothly I’ve never had to contact support. This was until one Friday when parts of a particular site started to disappear. Whole folders and sub folders missing, gone. My customers do not have the access to remove them and I had not logged on to this site for months, what’s going on?? I know I’ll ask support to restore the missing from a backup, and worry about the reason later. This is their response.

We have not deleted these files. I have checked the backup and there is no files in these folders.
When were there last checked?

Call closed. Apart from the shoddy English the call was closed, end of matter. I tried again to get a reason as to why this had happened but never got a response. I’m now backing up the sites myself as I do not trust their DR procedures.

Totally unreliabe service and unhelpful staff with "i don't give a damn" attitude .. I would not recommend this company to anyone !

Terrible

Although we still have hosting with Fast2Host we do not put any new sites on their servers. The service is unreliable and there staff are very unhelpful.

Fantastic

I just wrote an email to fast2host to let them know how good they are.
They offer a fantastic service for a very affordable price.
The tech support is amazing!!! You can use the online chat or just write them an email and you often get a good answer in less than 5 minutes.
I only had a major downtime few years ago but after that the service has always been top quality.
If they keep this quality of service I will not change my hosting for a long time.

Server Keep going down

The fast to host servers seem to be continuelly going down at crucial times.

I am generally not happy with the services.
People say one gets what they pay for , but the internet has changed this, so as much as fast2host are cheap, my site is usually down at crucial times.

The time now is 18.03 on Friday 13 June 2008 and my website has been off line for at least 2 hours. Neither is www.fast2host.com accesible, which mean something's happened to there servers. I no one is picking there phone , thye have also changed there telephone number.


I have been using 3 different web servers for my websites and I will rate fast2host as the worst of them.The other two I have used ar supanames and storminternet. Of which storminternet is the best by my rating.

Breath of fresh air for hosting

Hi,

I have been with Fast2Host for several months now and with reasonable knowledge of setting up websites and servers have found F2H service to be excellent.

You get a generous amount of webspace and bandwidth plus all the usual extras. The thing i found about them is they give you that extra mile when it comes to technical support.

I have rung and probably drove two of their guys crazy asking for help.I have never had to wait too long for an answer either by email or by a return phone call paid by F2H. I have posted before but hold Russell and Steve in high regard for their help.
