Arvixe have proved reliable and economical for many years now and always helpful. Having tried other hosts in the past I know how rare this is.
One of their particular strengths is that they are always approachable and willing to help - even with difficulties that are not strictly their responsibility. If you contact them you don't get an autoreply telling you to read the FAQ as with some companies.
I have three websites hosted with Arvixe and couldn't be happier with the service.

It took a lot of looking around and trying sites before I found Arvixe. Those cheap and free hosts end up with really bad customer service when they are there and they tend to disappear quickly, leaving you without a host and, if you don't have a backup, without your site.
I found Arvixe through a review site and tried them out. I was leery of another "cheap" host becuase of bad experiences everywhere else, but I decided to give them a try. I have had nothing but good experiences since. They are helpful and their prices are great. They also have excellent uptime, allowing my site to remain online without interruptions.
If you're looking for a low cost hosting plan with good customer service and with a host that isn't going anywhere, try out Arvixe. There was only one other host I've ever had that equalled or topped Arvixe, and I have had many over the years.

I have been hosting with Arvixe for over 3 and 1/2 years. Their features and service is top-notch. (Rare) issues that arise are addressed promptly. Downtime is virtually non-existent. Pricing is great. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a good and cheap hosting with a lot of options, this is the place. I have hosted several of my website with Arvixe for last 5 years and I have only good things to say. I have also had couple of interactions with their technical support and I was pleasantly surprised when they responded to my requests within few minutes. Arvixe was recommended to me by a friend and I have since kept recommending this place to my other friends. It is a hosting company with great service and value.

If looking for Windows hosting - RUN!

First and foremost let me caveat this by saying I use Windows hosting for my ASP sites and the like.
Arvixe was one of the tops when I searched more than 3 years ago and had great pricing.
Their support is horrible! Their reliability is "adequate".
For example today I have two subdomains that are down - opened the ticket at 8:20amEST here it is now 7:55PM EST and no usefull response and my sites are still down!!
When you contact QA to give feedback of the support they do not help at all but they justify every single thing and NEVER take responsibility. Making you feel like an idiot.
Yet this person has 18 years IT experience and has built those servers they use. If I had the funds I would get a T1 at home and host from my own home!
Sad!!Use these guys at your own risk (at least for windows that is.)

Please note that email support, especially over the weekend, may be slower than normal and we strongly suggest calling our 24/7 phone line to resolve issues immediately (we have achieved a 20 second hold time on all calls on average).

For the price is a good hosting, but have a few of system crashes, delays in the support response and sometimes the services are down and nobody notice that until we insist.
