Something you need to remember when you go with 2MHost is that you're paying almost nothing for a feature-rich hosting service. The support service is a little slow, and their English is generally quite poor. But at the end of the day, I'm paying $2.50 a month for a service that has everything I need. I'd probably be a bit more picky if I was on one of their more expensive plans - but bang for your buck, it's the best I've found. I've just looked elsewhere before starting up a new website and I've decided to go with 2mhost again. (2mhost have not paid me for this review, I would be happy to answer any questions by email).

I have been hosted there for more then two years. Great uptime. The tech support is a little slow. If you know how to use cpanel you should not have a problem.

...absolutely the worst hosting service! They are so technically challenged that instead of learning how to use technology they just turn features off. Customer service is non-existent. Your email and site will go down at least once a month. When you report it they will say nothing appears to be wrong...you report it again and magically it will start working in about an hour. DON'T expect them to retrieve anything that was lost...it never happened. It's a "Feature!" Good riddance to bad rubbish. I've taken all 77 clients and moved them to a real host. You get what you pay for and this service is about as CHEAP as you can get!

2MHost is the single worse hosting company in the world. Server has been down about 2 to 4 times a month. Its even down when their server is up and my site is still down. The graph on this site that shows the uptime is totally incorrect or not connected to the servers I've been on at 2mhost. If there are any posative reviews, they haven't really bee hosted with 2mhost. They are the worse!

We just signed up for an account with 2MHost less than a month ago. The list of site features seemed more than adequate at first glance. We had even gone as far as discussing the account with them before purchasing, and were given a verbal agreement that we could get a refund if it didn't meet our needs.
Well, it didn't meet our needs. The accounts don't include shell access. It can make coding and debugging rather painful having to work through cPanel and similar tools. At the time we signed up, the only indication of no shell access was in their Terms of Service.
We should have paid more attention to the terms before paying for a year of service. Now that we realized the plan is not suitable to our needs, they only refer us to the terms and refuse any refund at all.
Be careful if you do business with these guys. After researching other reviews, it appears they have poor service and even worse customer service. I would not pay for anything more than month by month with them, not until you are positive they will meet your needs.

I have no complaints about 2mhost as far as overall quality of service goes. But if you have a problem thats when it all goes down hill. The time it takes them to answer even the simplest questions is horrible. And the lack of phone support is dissapointing since with the system they have you just wait and wait and wait hoping someone will get back to you.

I've hosted about a dozen sites with 2MHost.com over the past year. I do volunteer web development for several non-profit groups that have no technology budgets, so when I discovered 2M's $1.50/month hosting plans, I figured it couldn't hurt to give them a try for some of these sites.
When I found them, I thought 2M's list of features were impressive and the add-ons reasonably priced. CPanel and your own SMTP server are some of the features I liked, though nowadays, pretty much everybody offers those and more. Unfortunately, 2M's servers have been and continue to be unnreasonably flakey and are down far too often. Their service is mediocre at best. CPanel has never seemed to work quite right. Mail servers are down constantly, and you're lucky if you can download all your mail on the first try on any given morning. I recently found that several mail servers block mail sent from my SMTP server at 2MHost, as 2M mail servers have been blacklisted for rampant spamming. My sites seem to go down a least a couple times a month, and those are just the times I look at them, which isn't often. Just today, I found my FTP and CPanel access had been blocked. When I wrote to customer service (they only offer email support), they asked for my username and password--twice. They're the ones that assigned both, so I don't understand why they don't have them on file, or why they stopped working at all. My trouble ticket was closed without a response. Almost a full day later, I still can't get in, and to make matters worse, my access to their trouble-ticket system just got blocked too. With each experience, they seem to get more and more hopeless.
To their credit, they do seem to genuinely want to help, and they've always been courteous. They've helped me out with some issues that I didn't expect help with on such cheap hosting accounts. But they must be massively understaffed and highly disorganized, or something like that. You can't beat the price. But for me, it's not been worth the price for this amount of frustration.
2M, please get your act together. I wouldn't mind paying four times as much if only I could get service I could rely on. But in the meantime, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
