Horrible Service

I cancelled my service one day before the free trial period was up. I couldn't get my website to work and it was very confusing to use. Two weeks later my paypal account was billed the $29.97 monthly fee. I disputed the fee through paypal and was refunded the $29.97 not once but twice. 1 and 1 then sent me a statement saying I owed them for the $29.97 overpayment. I sent them a check for that amount. A month later I get a statement from a collection agency for $29.97 and $18.95. I emailed 1 and 1 asking what this was about and they informed me that they don't accept check and had destroyed my check. They never emailed me to tell me this, just sent me to a collection agency. This is horrible service procedures. An email or telephone call would have been nice.

It is predetory and overall a terrible service. Never sign up for their service. You are blindly forced into a 12 month contract. No one is willing to help. the worst!!

1&1 offered a free 30 day trial to look over their services. we quickly determined that their services were unable to meet our needs. poorly designed services, infrastructure was very weak tech support seemed real iffy.
we cancelled before the trial period was over. but they said we still owed $25 for our free trial. now their charge appears on my credit report.
their business model must include extortion. they don't care about the bad reviews or investigations by attorneys general.

1&1 charged my account 13 times for 6.00 to 'verify' my card. Then after I canceled them they still attempted to charge me again for additional 14.95 AFTER I canceled and they never sent me the e-mail about the cancelation. These folks need shut down. I will be contacting the district attorney about the fraud they are committing

Absolute Nightmare

Do not even think of using 1&1 Internet! Stay far away from this horrible company. I had 37 websites hosted with 21 separate accounts. I had problems after 6 months of using 1&1 and it kept getting worse. Sites would time out and I would have outages several times a day. No help. No support. I finally cancelled all accounts after 11 months. This was 5 years ago. One of the 37 accounts somehow had a balance of $28.11 on it. They sent to collections and once I found out about it I paid immediately. It is now on my credit rating. An absolute nightmare! Think about it... why do they have to give people 6-months free of hosting? They can't sell this crap so they have to give it away. You couldn't pay me to use this pathetic company. Go to Bluehost, Rochen or GoDaddy. Stay away from 1&1!!!

Poor Customer Service/Bad Email Servers

I've been with 1and1 for 7 years. I guess I haven't switched out of pure laziness, but for the last 2-3 months, their email servers have been horrible. It's hit or miss whether or not you can connect to them and when you call, you get someone who took English as a 2nd language by correspondence. I have hung up in frustration time and time again. Even when you get someone who actually speaks English, their tech level is that of a rock. My Luddite wife has more tech savvy than most of 1and1's so-called "techs". If you value your sanity, time and money, pick another host - I'm changing today.

I could not get my webaite up on there server and they had NO IDEA why either. Any time you ask a question about what is goung on there always seams to be a "bug" going on in there servers. The tech guys are absolutely 0% help. I was so mad and disgusted I pulled out 3 days into my hosting contract. I went to godaddy and my site was live in 3hrs ! ! ! !. I am going to report them to the better business tommrow and call me credit card comapny to conest the charge for fraud. STAYYYY AWAYYY

My account never functioned as promised, in that it never allowed addition of "external" domains. Each time I called tech support they said it was a known problem, that many customers were experiencing it, and that they had no known resolution time.
This service offering never functioned as advertisted, and 10 days later it still does not work, and again with no resolution time.
Of course they charged me anyway for a full year's hosting.
After working with many hosting services over many years, this is the worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this service to others.

i don't have any words to explain unlimitedgb.com,i had an account with internet-webhosting.com it was a damn experience then i moved to unlimitedgb.com with 5 domains it is simply awesome.
