$1 a month is a bargain, and I've hosted a few sites there for several years. For $1/month you expect barely acceptable uptime, which is what I've had. But when anything goes wrong -- like right NOW, when my site (and theirs) has been replaced by another site and FTP passwords have been changed... and emails to tech support go unanswered and phoen calls to their offices are directed to voicemail.... time to give up. In addition, they've charged me unexpected and mandatory fees every once in a while for problems/upgrades I feel they have invented. I only hope frequent visitors to my websites will return after I've switched to a new host!
