I've been hosting my site for 5 years with the basic plan, the price has never increased, however they have added several new services since then. For $50 a year with phone support, I think it's a bargain. They are always prompt to support tickets.

Like others have siad, 123eHost used to be reliable. Now I have more problems getting to my email than I thought could be possible - its about 50/50 as to availability.

Terrible tech support

My 123ehost account was recently hacked and upon calling tech support they refused to give me any information that could help me discover who the hacker was. I repeteadly asked them for the FTP log. The first time they blew me off completely. After repeated calls they sent me the HTTP access log. Finally they sent the FTP access log, but by then either their logs had rotated or they simply didnt care because they only sent me the logs for 1 day, a day which was about 1 week after the hacker got in.

On more than one occasion I also had to explain to the tech over the phone how he could send me the information I was requesting. They kept iterating the fact that the FTP logs are global and that those cannot be sent. After asking for a filtered version of the log I got a bevy of excuses, my favorite one being "Our servers do not have the software to do that." (p.s. they run *nix) I tried to explain to him how to Grep the log and after several days and the involvement of an "Administrator" there I got nothing.

If you're looking for a PureFTP service to hack try 123ehost. They won't care.

When we started with 123ehost several years ago they were great. Fast service, excellent uptime, really no complaints. We recommended them to everyone and hosted many of our sites with them.

In the last 8 months (approx) they have been going steadily downhill. Excessive downtime and email problems top the list of issues that occur and re-occur. The first-line technical support staff never seem to understand what's going on and they won't let us talk to anyone who has more technical knowledge. No matter how many times we try and try and try to give them the benefit of the doubt they keep making our belief in them go down yet another notch.

We would have been their most loyal customers if they could get things together. Now we have no choice but to look for another web host. The frustration of hosting with 123ehost isn't worth it.

Agree with all the negative reviews here. Excessive amounts of down time, often during business hours. Right now I am unable to receive any email though our webpage is still up, thank god. Lord knows if I'm losing mail entirely or if it's queueing up somewhere. We will be leaving as soon as we can. Please look elsewhere for your hosting needs.

123ehost, service is getting worse

Service at 123ehost has been steadily decreasing over the past 3-6 months. I have been with the company a long time and am very disappointed. I used to forward my emails to my Videotron (cable) inbox for one place pick-up,
in the last few weeks Videotron decided not to accept emails from 123ehost. Now I have to connect to 123ehost to get my mail, it is so slow - watching paint dry is faster!
I contact theikr service and don't always get a response,
could be that they send to my address at Videotron and it is rejected! So now I'll have to ressort to the phone & telephone tag! But it is cheap! I think they are down more now than ever before, clients have complained.

Much more downtime then expected ... We will move our 14 sites we are hosting there ASAP. Support is Ok but there is no 24x7 even they say so since you can't reach anybody on the phone...
