After being a client for 11 years I will tell you take your business elsewhere. They were good when they began their hosting in 2000 but since the uptime is bad, the service is not good and they are rude. I was told to go elsewhere which is what I did ! I won't go into details as it may be long but bottom line is take your money elsewhere

First, the customer service is top-notch! I've been using 123ehost since 1999 and am so happy, I've been using them for my clients' websites, too.
The stats listed here on the site are out of date: for a Basic account: 1000MB space, and 20GB bandwidth. Huge bang for my bucks!

Losing a good reputation

123ehost has been good in the past but performance is going down hill. Their 99.9% guaranteed uptime actually carries no guarantee with it. I'm finding that there are more consistent downtimes and during those times, support do not answer the phones. It does allow hosting of multiple sites on 1 account (I think up to 6) but if the server is down, what does it matter how many they offer? I used to recommend them, but now I recommend looking elsewhere, as I will when my account needs to be renewed.

I have been using the ulta plan for several years and they provide prompt support. Their responce time is 15 minutes after opening support ticket.

I used to have multiple domains and 3 hosting accounts with 123--small to fairly large active sites.
Increasing downtime, email interruptions, and out of control spam in the past 1-2 years + more serious hosting for business needs made me move to another host.
Good points:
Cheap. Lots of server control compared to other hosts, especially more expensive ones which are very controlling and limit what you get. Downside to this freedom is idiots can abuse and misuse it. You basically get a lot for very low prices and are left to it. Good if you know what you are doing and the server you are on is decent and not overloaded.
In the past, every quarter or so services, bandwidth and storage was increased radically for free on my 123 accounts.
Recently it has been like pulling teeth to get them to release my domains.
123 customer support is not bad. It's not very professional in approach--very casual, simple emails back and forth--but they always got the job done, did not hide behind bureaucracy or try to hook me into new fees. I can't say the same for mid-level or top of the line hosts I've used.
All things considered, this is a cheap host that seems increasingly unreliable. If you are not experienced with cpanel and site management, this may not be the place for you to learn unless you can do that well on your own.

123Ehost gone bad

I've had multiple website on 123Ehost for 5+ years. I was happy with them till about a year ago when the "upgraded" their service. Since, tech support has been slow, sometimes unresponsive. One call they were downright awfull. Their 24/7 claim is a ruse. They might respond in 24 hours. My bet is they they have oversold the server I'm on, and technically its an outdated small server. I know of one account they cut off with no forwarning, the owner was told it was using too much resources, but they didn't know how to give him server logs to backup their claim. I've recommended them in the past, stopped that six months ago and will be looking for a new host company when it's time to renew if not before.

Seems good until there's a problem

I liked their use of C-Panel, I liked their price and capacity specs - up-time was OK but not great and support seemed good - excellent even. But then my site (and some others) got hacked. Their support was then inacessible (working on the problem?) and they did not seem to know what to do. This was bad enough but a couple of months later, it happened again - same story - they hadn't learned. That's when I switched to Blue Host. They have better support, better safeguards in place, better features (e.g. Fantastico) and similar pricing - especially if you take advantage of add-on domains. I switched 6 sites.

When I first started hosting 123ehost, I had problems with my html coding, they help me figure out the problem and I was I up and running in no time. SInce then, I never encountered any downtime and their servers been running smooth so never needed additional support.

Been with them for 3 years now and like all the other clients their service was great in the begining and now in the last 8 months my site has been interrupted a few times and took them 24hrs to clear up. You use to be able to get someone on the phone right away and via virtural chat but now I guess too many callers complaining so its leave a message or ticket. I'm thinking of moving over very soon probably to Jetnethost.com
