to this review here I've been with lonex a little over 6 months. Right now, my site is down... I wasn't going to go online and smear them when I decided to leave their hosting some 2 days ago, but they haven't even provided me the courtesy to stay online while I pull my material off. Currently the database system is down.
In my time with them, the service has been spotty... 5-30 minute outages that might normally go undetected unless you're online all the time, but still doesn't account for a high availibility system.
In the last 2 months, my site has been down no less than 10 times... 2 were major, I'm currently in the middle of a 3rd major outage (going on 3 hrs). Before that, there was a "Major Security Breach" where we were all told to change our passwords.
Long story short. They're cheap, their service suffers major outages, other people on the shared service bring the machines down all the time...
steer clear of these guys if you don't want problems.
Here's a quote from a customer service email of theirs:
"Currently there are problems with the server which are hard to solve. The administrators are working on the problem but they don't have any exact information about when or how it is going to be solved."
