to this review here When I first started working for the company utilizing the services of IPowerWeb they had been hosted on IPowerWeb’s Linux servers. Very few issues occurred. After we developed a few web applications we moved the website to IPowerWeb’s Windows IIS servers. The transition itself was practically impossible with inexperienced tech support. Now every few months our directory settings for IIS are reset and the .Net version is reverted back to 1.1.4 from 2.0. On my own Intranet this simply takes about 1 minute to change the .Net version to 2.0 in IIS. This takes IPowerWeb over a week to accomplish. Initially, their tech support acts like the situation will be taken care of and you hang-up feeling satisfied. Another 2days pass without a change and when you call they will tell you their windows administrators will not be in until later and the issue will be resolved then. Calling back after another day or two prompts them to tell you the issue has been promoted to level 3 (highest level…lol) and they can no longer do anything, which means I need to just wait. This is the second time this issue has occurred within a 3 month time period. A week without a customer used web app is appalling to say the least. Avoid this host if you want a windows based web platform. Leave a comment >> |
