I originally set up my site and registered my domain through GISOL. It wasn't long before I moved my site to a different company for hosting (because GISOL was terrible), but I haven't transferred the domain yet because last time I paid for a few years but they have previously let it expire on me. I contacted AllDomains and was told I have to pay $99.95 to activate my site or wait 36 days until it's available again. I contacted the toll free support line at GISOL - miracle I got someone - but of course they tell me I have to call the other line - not a toll free line - and I am immediately put on hold without being talked to. Hung up after 10 minutes and will send an email. If that doesn't work I guess I will wait the 36 days. I am very happy this is my hobby website and not one of my important ones. I'm not sure how they stay in business - I found this site searching for reviews of them and was shocked to read all the negative things. I sure wish there was this much information out there years ago when I first signed up with them.

Cancel any credit card you have on file with Gisol IMMEDIATELY. They are going to charge you something you never agreed to. See all the stories at report-gisol.com. We are trying to organize a class action against them -- register there if you would like to join us.
