I'm surprised to see that the reviewers here have so many problems with DreamHost.

I've been with them since 2004, and I still am - I'm a totally satisfied customer.

Their Customer Service is amazing, so nice and helpful, even with technical things that are really not directly related to their services. And they always answer me within 24 hours, even if only to say that they need more time to resolve my issue.

They did have some downtime trouble last year, but neither before nor after have I had any major concerns with them.

So, honestly, I do not recognize much of what is being said here about them not answering emails and other negative things.
