I have four sites hosted with site5 on three different servers. My uptime rating is less that 95% between them all. At least once a day each site fails a ping test and there have been long unexplained outages. Today two of the servers ran out of disk space.

Site5 overcommits its resources. They sell you a nice plan, but don't really have the servers to back them up.

Daily outages, support replies with "Well it's working NOW".

I host on their evadne server, which has consistently produced timeouts at different points nearly every single day. Because they are sporadic, the tech support people never observe this. Often my administrative interface is completely inaccessible despite the fact that other of their servers are completely fine. They have supposedly been relocated to Texas for quite a while now. Extremely frustrating. Nice software and everything else seems great. Just the timeouts. Their techs have tried several times to fix it and have been unsuccessful, meaning that they don't even know how to log and monitor their own servers. What a shame. I'm currently shopping for a better shared hosting solution.

They offer a wide range of products and services, but do not invest in upgrading their machines. So for the last month or so, my site is down 2 to 3 hours per day, simply because there are absolutely no resources available at the server.... I have request a server change...but no answer. A pity, but they will loose a client that hasn't complain at all for more than a year.
