I would not recommend godaddy at all. I tried to renew a domain with them because an old credit card was expiring.

I logged into their software, and added a credit card then switched payments from one card to the other. For some reason, the software thought that I was deleting the domain. When eventually the forwarding didn't work, I called them up and they told me that I had never registered that particular domain name. I was speechless. They then looked into my account history and then told me that *I* had deleted my domain name from their register.

We eventually got everything sorted out. Or so I thought. 5 months later, when my client was complaining about not receiving any emails from their webmail account, (they have it auto forwarded to gmail) I called up godaddy again and found out why. When they accidentally deleted the domain, they also deleted the email account associated with it (even though they were billing it to me all this time) and didn't bother to mention this the first time it got deleted, or while I was fixing the domain. Again, I was speechless when they told me that I had deleted the email account 5 months ago.

Their customer service is horrible, their technical staff seems to only have a rudimentary understanding of web technologies, and the worst part is the number they ask you to call is not a 1-800 number, so you are paying long distance charges to speak to someone who may or may not be able to help you.

The good news is, their domains are one of the cheapest out there, but I still would not recommend their service to anyone. I would be OK if they raised their prices a little to buy some better customer service and support, but I guess they are too busy spending money on Danica Patrick ads.
