to this review here I have been using hosting services for almost 3 years now. I spent over a month trying to find a web host provider, tried 2 out - 1and1 and ixhosting. I ended up at Godaddy and really liked the convenience of their control panel and ease of use. As I added more sites to my portfolio - I wanted to update to a bigger plan - I researched and ended up at Godaddy and got a Virtual Server - now I have a Dedicated Server and use Godaddy - but what I actually have is a reseller account with Wild West Domains so that I get a steeper discount since I own hundreds of domains. I even tried Hostgator but because I ran a couple of scripts that caused the web server service to stop, but the service at Hostgator was awful. So, I stuck with Godaddy and will stay with them. I don't see how you can possibly say (credibly) that "the service at Hostgator [sic] was awful."Their setups are so well done that a reasonably competent person won't need service; and even if you don't have an account, you can give their online chat support or 800 number support a test run, and get instant satisfaction. I tested their performance against scores of competitors both more and less expensive, and it's absolutely first rate -- in fact, not only would I say the performance for reseller accounts is amazing; it is amazing how many other technicians told me so, after visiting pages I moved to HostGator. Now, as far as the remainder of your assertions go, I further question your credibility. What are you doing (legitimately) with "hundreds of domains"? And you ran a script that was so flawed it caused a web server to stop? That's not only utterly incompetent, it's one of the worst cases of incompetence I've ever heard. |
