No Private SSL

Godaddy enables only their SSL certificate and you can not install a third party ssl certificate. For websites accepting credit cards online it is essential to have a well known brand of ssl certificate. Moreover, they can not validate high assurance ssl certificate for international clients. Therefore international clients like me can only get low assurance ssl which we can not trust. We will be changing the hosting from godaddy. However, their plans are well worthed for informational websites without ecommerce and their support is over the average.

I still have not been able to figure the website builder out. It is anything but easy. Dreadful interface. I am dissapointed I wasted my money on this hyped up piece of rubbish.
Can't send emails with my provider either. I'm a user in Australia. Big mistake.

Godaddy- bad quality service

First problem is no 1800 number for tech service so phone calls can get expensive as most time you are on hold for 10-20 minutes or more.
Godaddy - bad quality service
They do not have qualified tech support. If you get a problem, they are not going to help you.

Any single email account (with hosting) cannot have more than 10MB size. Web email interface is
ugly.

poor customer service

The godaddy customer service was awful. I have a godaddy account and manage several domains with godaddy. I had a problem where godaddy charged my credit card for services they did not perform. I sent eight (8) emails to godaddy explaining the situation and asked them to refund my credit card and they would not honor a refund. I think they are not running an honest business. I would not recommend godadddy to anyone. Their website is confusing where it is difficult to tell if you are logged into your account when accessing services and features. godaddy charges users credit cards and then does not perform the service.

You Get What You Pay For

GoDaddy offers low cost services and products but when you factor in the many hours of wasted time and long distance charges calling their tech support to try to work through all of the bugs in the products you won't be getting a bargain. I got suckered into paying a 12 month advance fee for the supposedly user-friendly "Website Tonight" hosting product. Several months later I still don't have a usable website. That's because I made the fatal mistake of assuming I could actually add my own text and graphics to the template. WRONG! And don't bother wasting your time calling tech support. They can't fix the program's bugs either. No wonder they charge an upfront advance fee with no refunds. GoDaddy is a suckers site. STAY AWAY!

I have GoDaddy for my host and they are exceptional! The only thing is that I wish I could have more storage space without going to the next highest plan. Customer Service is great and they are 24/7. So if you have a cell phone, call during off peak time and it will be free.

had problems with billing, if you have a friend make a present of hosting and they pay for it but the address of the account is not the same as the credit card, or you are not the same computer, they WILL cancel the account and dump everything with out notifying anyone for at least 6-10 hours. Fruad dept is not accessable by phone so you cannot fix a problem but only by e-mail. President of company is not at all interested in customer service only in other things not his company's workings.
Tech service at night ( late east coast time) is better than day techs as they understand problems better and are not as rushed as daytime guys. Day shift also assumes that everyone has the same level as they in web writing and ability, so it can turn ugly or they get snippy.
Once we got all the bugs worked out they have been up 100% of the time, mail works great, so over all after a fiasco at first they have now gone to a 9, only problem is no 1800 number for tech service so phone calls can get expensive as most time you are on hold for 10 minutes or more.
